Custom HomeLink panel LED’s for 2001/2002 CL
I have solved the problem of locating those little black buttons when you are trying to open your garage door in the dark.
It’s basically two red LED’s that are right next to the #1 & #3 buttons on the overhead console.
They go ON/OFF with the headlights when connected to the drivers side vanity mirror power line.
The brightness of the LED’s can be controlled with an in-line potentiometer control in the back.
If you are local, you can meet up with me and I will install it for FREE.
If I need to mail it out, it is quite easy to do the install yourself.
There are only TWO wires to cut that are easily assessable after removing the assembly with four screws.
You could easily install it yourself in about 10-minutes.
I am asking 60-bucks shipped (USA-48) for the completed assembly. (And your STOCK unit)
I know there is only 10-bucks worth of parts inside, but it took over 3-hours labor to do the work.
I would ask you to remove the stock assembly from your car and send it to me.
Once received, I will switch it out and send mine to you.
Note: This is for a PARCHMENT interior only because the color is the same as your headliner.
PayPal or Money order only. shawnsef@fast.net

PS.....If you have an Ebony interior and you would like this done, E-Mail me and maybe we can work out a deal to have me add these part to your car.

I really can’t believe that no one has jumped on this yet.
There must be a lot of CL’s that DON’T get parked in garages because finding those little buttons in the dark is a MAJOR pain.
I was soooo happy with the improvement when I did the mod.
I also know that the EBONY interior is more popular too.
I have all the items purchase for my 2003.
I’m going with GREEN LED’s this time.

You don't need a garage to use Homelink. Starting with only a transceiver and lamp module from X10.com, you can turn lights on and off in your house.
Hey Shawn, any idea if this work work in the 2.3?
