Question CLOSED! Looking for advice on a Dremel Tool

I have some mods planned which involve some cutting and contouring as well as sanding some plastic TL parts. I've done quite a bit of reading here and most of the posts talk about the Dremel tool in one way or another.

Since this is all new to me does anyone have some suggestions as to what type of Dremel I would need to do the basic stuff noted above?

They range in price considerably and since they all look the same to me I was looking for a few suggestions on which models or options I should look for when buying one.

Speeds? Attachments? Corded vs. Cordless?

A basic Dremel should work for you. You may want to see if you can move this thread to the Ramblings section.

I have one like this....

It may be a bit much for you, if all you plan is small things. I wanted to do some work with mine.

yeah get a basic variable speed one. the cutting wheels, and grinders are fine for plastic, you might need to sand/touch up edges when done tho. its fun and easy. practice and you can get over that initial fear of the plastic bubbling up as you cut it and you will see you can just snap it off or cut it off after or while its still kinda soft. if your nervous use lower speeds, the higher speeds can really eat into plastic fast if you mess up.
good luck

Great advice guys thanks !!!!

The bubbling plastic kinda scared me for a minute there - LOL I found a 2-speed online at Lowe's for about $40 which is really all I wanted to spend. Cordless to boot which might be a good thing.

Just going to check for a cutting blade and well as some sanding "blades"...this should be fun
