did your comment just help me sell it? No.
J/k I'm gonna list it in the auctions if I don't sell it in a few days. It's new too. I bought it for $500 almost a year ago. Then got it replaced under warranty.

Sorry dude, I didn't mean to offend you in anyway about the price that you are selling. I just want to pinpoint out the current market price of the 8860.

TLcraze: this is the 8860 not the 8890. the 8860 (chrome) is using AT&T via 1900MHz TDMA / 800MHz TDMA. 8890 (aluminum) uses cingular via GSM 1900. yes the 8860 ranges from 200 ~ 250, but the 8890 still goes anywhere from 400 to 600 dollars on ebay.

just want to clarify.

Hey guys if the 8860 had bad reception what phones are you all using now? What is the best phone to get out there now? Motorola Startacs are pretty good. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Right now I'm using the Nokia 8290, the reception has been nothing short of excellent so far. It's with Voicestream. Got 600 anytime minutes and 2000 night and weekend for $39.99

my aunt uses nokia 8890 with cingular wireless. pays 40 bucks for 150 anytime minutes, free mobile to mobile, and free nights and weekends.

the 8890 has really good reception. compared to my 8290, it's sometimes better because it has a retractable antenna that makes the reception better in some places.

if that phone isn't 300 bucks with activation... he he he

The 8860 Chrome phone is a pretty phone. I remember when the Matrix came out, there was a similar phone in the movie (sort of like a switch blade type of phone), so that is why this phone was popular and besides it looks great!

Does anyone here have the wireless web service from AT&T on their phone? Is it worth it? I still can't imagine surfing the web on such a small screen and if it would do any good. Could be more of a hassle than benefit. Any comments?

umm,

I'll give you my 6160 for $100.

Sorry no can do, the phone is brand new. If it was used, yea, I'd definitely sell it for $100. But I was looking for at least $200. Need some cash! For my Alarm.

Maybe the people selling on ebay are from the West coast or something, but here in the NYC metro area Voice Stream dealers are selling the 8890 for about $250.

Yes, around 250-300, but with you gotta get a 1 year contract. It's a hella lot more without a plan.
