I'm selling my Escort 8500 X50 radar laser detector which is in brand new condition. This was given to me as a birthday gift last week, but I'm not going to use it. I only work 3 miles away from home, so there's no need for it. The Passport 8500 X50 radar laser detector is a top of the line radar detector. The unit comes in the original box, with a case, smart cord, windshield mount and manual instruction. This unit retails for $349.99. I'm selling the radar detector for $300 shipped. Is it "Brand new" meaning never used, or "in brand new condition", meaning it has been used?

It was only taken out once for a test to make sure that the display does light up. I had own this unit before, so I already knew how it worked. Didn't need to test on the road.

how is this compared to Valentine V1?

I"m located in the Detroit Metro area. I've never own a Valentine V1 radar detector, so I wouldn't be able to compare it. You'll have to find out for yourself.

valentine one and passport x series are both great radar detectors. you can't go wrong with either. I, personally like the passport escort series. I have the 9500ix, and i can mute out those annoying false signals. Do some research on it as well, see what options you like best
