i thought 07-08 units are the only ones that support xm nav traffic and they are faster
there is a big difference between the 2004-2006 and the 2007-2008 navi system.
The 07-08 TL use the 4.xx system which is faster, has more detail and as well more features. First off it has XM navtraffic and Acuralink so the car can link with acura for numerous things. It has a new revised user interface so it's easier to use and less prone to giving stupid search results such as stores 1000 miles away from your location. As you metioned, the HFL system is integrated with the navi system so you can import contacts from your phone's contact list into the car so you can select the contact and call them rather than manually entering into the car with the 04-06 HFL system.
Also there is the ability to play MP3's/WMA's!

All of them support XM radio, so I'm not sure what's wrong. The best thing out of the 07-08 is the heightened resolution of the display. You can't get Acuralink to work if you have a 04-06 unless you wanna spend a lot of money to get.
Oh. Well idk. I say it doesn't cause i don't see the xm logo. If you're in the Houston area you can test it out before buying the unit. But please come with your headunit already removed. Hahah
you can get Acuralink simply by changing the HFL module but then again you will have to make a custome harness and pay 300 for the module. In my opinion, it is not worth doing this. Besides, XM radio is getting sort of expensive, well to me at least.
is it possible to hook up the navigation screen straight to the center console without the navigation add ons just so you can use the screen for all the other purposes? I dont care about having navi but i want the screen and i dont want to spend money on the NAVI CD and all that extra stuff

True that... I cancelled my subscription aside from traffic because I use that feature the most in the Twin Cities. Otherwise, my 160 GB classic iPod is my music station. I have music for days and nothing I hate
If you take pictures I can tell you what year its from, the back side pieces (temp-AC ETC) is the back blue or white? is the ACURA on the cd player big or little, what the does CD player say? does it support MP3s?
