3G Acura TL parts garage cleanout!

Category: Accessories
Price: $0
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): TL 3G, Type-S Model
Location (State/Prov/Terr): OH
Item Condition: Used

Selling a few items from my old 3G TL:

1) 3G TL Bored throttle body by Maxbore. I supplied them with a 2007 TL-S throttle body and bored it to 70mm. This is a heck of a good mod if you have a full exhaust setup. $180 shipped

2) MDX Intake Manifold Spacer. This gives approx a 7ft/lb low to mid range torque increase to Honda/Acura V6's that are stock, or who have exhaust systems (catback or full exhaust)....perhaps more in combination with other mods such as bored throttle body. Comes with OEM gasket as well as alignment studs that will be required. Does NOT come with intake manifold bolts. $40

3) 2007 / 2008 TL-S Mud guards, OEM painted in Nighthawk Black Pearl (NBP)

Reduced to $50 shipped

4) Magnesium Intake manifold from a 2007 TL-S. This is lighter weight and better flowing than the 2004-2006 Manifold. Has been ported, and had minor cast marks removed for better airflow. $250

(5) Also available is a 1" wide polished aluminum Moores Performance throttle body spacer that matches the 70mm throttle body. I went with a larger custom throttle body setup and can no longer use it. Comes with P2R thermal gasket as well as paper gasket for the other side of the spacer. $40

I'll post up some pics as I organize my pile of parts this week.

Thanks, Andy

curious as to why u say the 07 manifold flows better then the 04? are we talking stock for stock ? or the obvious reason bc it was ported? did you have it tested on a flow bench?

GLWS Andy, sounds like everything is moving nicely.
I'm slightly tempted by the mud guards given the ground clearance we have, but not sure about fitment on 04 AND aspec.

^ had both manifold setups with stock tb necks flowbenched. 4% over 04-06 stock for stock. I'm not comparing ported vs stock with either manifold, just stating stock numbers.

^thats exactly what I wanted to know. Did you retest after the porting was done on the type s IM? What was the increase?

....Im kinda interested in using this IM on my setup. Im thinking acura redesigned the IM for the type s maybe b/c of the unequal air distribution problem with the 04-06. Especially since I want to use meth again

ALSO, do you know if the 04 TB will work with the type S IM?

<--would like pics of IM

I did not test the tl-s after, as I was not porting magnesium at that time, but the pnp'd 04-06 was 9% over the tl-s when ported, or 13% gain over itsself in stock form. i have since ported my sh-awd manifold, and made 298/264wheel with full exhaust, crank pulley and stock ecu last week on my tl-s on cruddy plugs. wish I had another go at it with the ecu bit it is still in rodneys hands, as well as with some new plugs. Will have to wait till spring when the motor is done.

ill try n get some pics up

HMM manifold sounds like a great deal especially since already ported and made of Magnesium yielding better heat dissipation. I'm assuming since you ported your 04-06 stock to a 13% increase in flow rate, that this Magnesium isn't much different. 13% is great!

again, if anyone knows, can the 04 TB bolt onto the Tl-s IM?

I only have the two front mudguards left. Someone bought the rear. They are in good shape with no scratches visible when installed
