2007 Acura TL Navigation System

Category: Audio/Video/Electronics
Price: $2000
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): TL 3G
Location (State/Prov/Terr): Can-ON
Item Condition: Used

I am selling my 2007 TL Navigation system that I had retrofitted for the NSX. I've decided to go a different route. If you are looking for a fairly complete system that has all the expensive and hard to find parts all in one package, this is for you!

The system works perfectly and the Navigation and Radio codes will be provided of course. There is a bit of scuffing on the bezel above the screen but other than that, all the parts are in great condition. Absolutely no scratches on the screen.

Because this system was a retrofit into my NSX and I NEVER planned to sell it, I don't have some of the cheap but easy to find parts any longer such as the Navigation DVD bracket or steering wheel switch (since I've hacked it up). I'm including the TSX subdisplay but you will need the TL sub display.

The harness includes all the plugs and if you have a 2004 - 2006 TL, you won't need to worry about the newer radio harness as I've included the newer harness plugs and all you have to do it get a harness kit for your car and map over the wires to the harness. I created the harness for the NSX so most of the connector lengths are not correct but for an extra fee, I can extend the necessary plugs based on where you want to mount your parts. Eg. the newer updated HFL uses a plug that your car will not have but to extend a bunch of wires from the front console all the way up to the map lights may not make sense vs. just running 2 wires to the microphone and mounting the HFL unit under the dash somewhere.

Included Parts
- 2007 Acura TL Navigation DVD unit with Original Navi DVD version 4.54
- 2007 Acura TL 6 disc in-dash changer (MP3 and DVD-Audio capable)
- 2007 Acura TL 8" Touchscreen and Navigation controls with climate controls
- 2007 Acura TL XM Control unit with Acuralink (HIP) (XM Traffic capable)
- 2007 Acura TL HFL Handsfree module
- 2006 Acura MDX rearview Camera (works perfectly with 2008 TL system, not pictured)
- 2006 Acura TSX Sub display
- 2007 Acura TL XM Antenna (stripped to the bone)
- 2007 Acura TL GPS Antenna (stripped to the bone)
- Custom plug and play wiring harness

Optional Parts
- 2007 Acura TL audio system (amplifier and speakers with connectors)

The system was designed to have the XM unit, HFL (Handsfree) unit and Navi DVD unit mounted close to the radio... i.e. in the glove compartment. The GPS and XM antennas were stripped down to the bare bone so they could be installed just under the dash (not under metal, only above). The bonus is that you don't need to install the XM antenna on the roof, you can place it in the dash anywhere as long as there is no metal above it.

While I can tell you that the Dealer price (with discount) is about $7,800 for all the parts, we all know that salvage price and separate parts prices are a lot cheaper, however there are rare items here and esp. all in one package and confirmed to be 100% working with a working harness with all the necessary plugs intact.

Asking $2,000 plus shipping and Paypal fees (without the 2007 TL Audio system). For an additional $200, I can customize the harness based on your installation requirements. I will work with the buyer to get the proper measurements for all the necessary wire runs and customization.

I didn't have the Rearview camera hooked up at the time that I showed the status and when I took the photos as it's in storage but I've tested it and it works perfectly and will be included.

How low are you will to go (pm me)? Reason I say is because you can get this whole thing for $1800 (even lower if you ask) through Martin with the correct harness.

Here is a link:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/04-06-ACURA-...item35b6900ace

That is for the 04-06 and the 07-08 is $100 more = $1800.

I'm willing to buy if the price is lower than Martin's price of $1700 for the navigation.

^i hope you do understand the difference between the 04-06 and 07-08 tl. If you have a 04-06 tl the navigation will still work; however, you wont be able to use your phone book, call acura, use the real-time traffic, etc. So, if you buy what he is selling, the navi will work exactly like the 07-08 models!
Now, if you have the 07-08 base tl then i would say the 1700 sounds fair since you wont need the Handsfree module, which is very expensive. But again, he wants to sell everything.

Always willing to negotiate but let's compare apples to apples...

1. Martin's kit is a 2004 - 2006 system. Mine is a 2007 - 2008 system. All components are different and not interchangeable. I've had both systems and the 2007 - 2008 system is definitely more complicated esp. the harness.
2. Martin's kit does not include the 6 Disc Radio. The 2004 - 2006 radio does not support MP3 discs while the 2007 - 2008 radio does.
3. Martin's kit does not include the 2004 - 2006 XM unit while the 2007 - 2008 XM unit provides the Acuralink and XM traffic functionality introduced in the RL which I am including.
4. Martin's kit does not include the rearview camera and to include it, he is asking for an additional $350
5. Martin's kit does not include the Handsfree HFL unit which has been updated for the 2007 - 2008 system.

A new Steering Wheel switch costs $30 from the dealer. Martin is selling an 07-08 HFL unit for $250. Let me try to sum it up...

Martin 2004 - 2006 = $1,700
- no 6 disc in dash Radio
- no XM Acuralink (HIP) unit or antenna
- no rearview camera or + $350
- no HFL unit or + $250
Total is $1,700 + $350 + $250 = $2,300 (no Radio, no XM)

Lithiumus 2007 - 2008 = $2,000
- no Steering wheel buttons or + $30
- customize harness + $200
Total is $2,000 + $200 + $30 = $2,230 (with Radio and XM)

I'll PM you tomorrow.

Right on the money! I'm actually trying to cater to several crowds... NSX owners, 04-06 TL owners and 07-08 TL owners.

The entire package is most beneficial to the NSX owner and the 04-06 TL owner as those who want the 07-08 will require each and every part as all the individual units have changed all thier connector types and those that have multiple, have changed at least one connector with the exception of the DVD unit. But the 07-08 DVD unit includes the rearview camera connector which the 04-06 units do not.

The beauty of the entire package is that it was made to be stand alone (since it was in my NSX) so I obtained each and every connector so it doesn't matter what kind of car you have, it will work without the worry that a connector won't fit.

Lets be honest. Only 3G users would buy this. XM antenna out. 6 cd changer out. HFL is included with purchase of 07-08 module.

And the $1700 module is the 07-08. The $1600 is the 04-06.

Not trying to bash you. I shoulda just taken this to a PM.

Don't forget the rearview camera... The 2004-2006 Navigation system does not have native rearview camera functionality like the 2007-2008 system.

No worries, it's important to lay out all the information but I think based on what you are saying, you'd also agree that there nothing wrong with my pricing since the $1,700 module has no radio, XM unit, HFL unit or rear camera.

FYI, in the 2004 - 2006 Nav system, the XM unit is just a simple add on and has no real bearning or dependancy on the overall system. In the 2007 - 2008 system, the XM unit interfaces in between the Navi DVD unit and the HFL. The HFL also has a direct connection all the way to the Navi DVD unit. While the HFL unit itself is the same between the Non-Nav and Nav TLs, the existing wiring in the overhead console does not have the wires connecting to the XM unit nor the Nav DVD unit and you will lose functionality.

Having said that, I think in the end, you are looking for a lower price and feel that some of the additional items are low priority or just simply don't want them in favor of a lower price. That's no problem. I don't mind lowering the price on a case by case basis and not including some of the parts as long as you are purchasing the bulk of the system and understand that I can't guarantee that it will work properly with parts missing. I am very flexible but would prefer to let a buyer who is interested in the entire package and full functionality to have the opportunity to purchase.

Let's take the rest of our conversation to PM and work something that makes sense for both of us.

Please feel free to ask for clarification on the information about TL Navigation systems. I have all the circuit diagrams and extensive experience with the 99-03 TL, 2004-2006 TL and the 2007-2008 TL Navigation Systems.

Just an FYI that even if I parted out just the Navigation DVD drive, it would not work properly with your 06 TL existing Navigation components. In 2007-2008 all the Navigation system parts were upgraded...

- Radio
- Display Screen
- Navi DVD unit
- XM unit
- HFL handsfree unit
- added rearview camera

Hehe, I hear ya. That might not be out of the question. There are several people interested and there are people who are not interested in the XM unit so if that is left over after the sale, I may be able to put a custom harness together, plus the XM unit and get you up and running with full functionality!

I'll keep you in the loop.

Bump. There is interest to part out the system and purchase only parts needed. I am willing to do that if it makes sense so PM and we can discuss but I'm not willing to sell single pieces unless they are left over from someone purchasing a semi-parted out system.

The 2006 TSX Sub Display is gone so it is not included in the sale. I removed the picture with the sub dislpay on eBay but I'll need to update the main picture.
