While having a visor window tinting done at a local shop, I saw what I believed to be a spectacular looking black sports car. It had spectacular and unusual looking wheels. In the lounge, I asked the owner of the car about them. He told me that they were Lexani Asanti alligator skin wheels.

I thought that they would look great on my new 2005 RL with its Desert Mist Metallic exterior and ordered a set from my favorite tire and wheel dealer.

After I drove home the five miles from the dealer, my wife gave me an earful bout how she thought that the alligator skin wheels were too bling-bling looking for our light-colored RL. To be honest I had to agree with her. They did not look the same as they did on that sleek back sports car. So, I took them back to the dealer and had the RL’s OEM wheels remounted.

The alligator wheels with ten whole miles on them now sit on display at the dealers awaiting someone to buy them.

I paid $1400 for them but I want $1100 for the set of 4 wheels. That is a cost to me of $30 per mile for the ten miles I used them.
