Wrecked 03 CL 3.2 S, 6 sp w/navi 4 Sale

Totaled my 03 CL 3.2 type S, 6 speed w/navi, black on black. Looking to sell the car complete. I definately believe the car is repairable. The car has only 8K miles on it. The damage is isolated to the front clip and the rear drivers side quater panel. I don't believe there is any damage to the drive train, A frame or suspension. It does have a salvage title.

This would be a great project car...wouldn't take too much money or effort to get it back on the road.

Here is the address to view the pictures...

http://briefcase.yahoo.com/tanner1070

Make me a serious offer...

I would prefer to sell the entire car whole. By the way, I forgot to mention it is a 6 speed also.

Also, I would love to post the pictures, but I am unable to figure out how to make the file size of each one small enough to be able to post. Could someone tell me how to do this? Thanks

dont you have insurance?? insurance should be giving you what you paid for it, plus tax, you sure as hell wouldnt be able to sell it for anything close to that amount in "totalled" condition.

Yes, I had insurance and they paid off. Who said I expected to get that kind of price for a wrecked car???? I bought it back from the insurance company to sell... And I replaced the car with another new one...

Pics available now on yahoo

Sorry about the delay. Pictures are now available on yahoo at http://briefcase.yahoo.com/tanner1070

The damage to the car is primarily the front end. I don't believe there is any damage to the engine or drive train. The radiator didn't even leak. The A-frame appears undamaged as well as the front suspension. Also, because of the nature of the accident, the air bags were not deployed either. The interior is showroom perfect. There is some body damage to the rear drivers side quarter panel.

I believe someone with some serious mechanical skills could put the car back together without too much trouble. The damage seems to be mostly cosmetic in nature.

As to the price of the car...I will seriously entertain all offers above $8,000 plus you pay for shipping.

For more information, either email or PM me...thanks

If you end up considering parting the car out, I would be interested in the rims/tires.

Thanks,

Burt

looks to me like it's about 6K worth of damage. Not a bad deal if someone was gonna pick it up and repair it. You could probably get 20K for it. Did the airbags go off? If you ever want to part with that navigation system and front dash setup I'll be more than happy to take it off your hands. I'm sure you'll get a buyer for the whole car soon though.

6 grand for the front end? That's a hell of alot of sway not to mention suspension/body panels. Unless you have a frame machine in your garage and a junk yard for a back yard this is definately a big $ repair job. Don't fool yourselves into thinking it will be a minor job, it's been totalled for a reason. If you own a bodyshop or work for one and can do the labor yourself you maybe looking at about 3-4 grand in LKQ parts and a hell of alot of labor.

Once again...there is no suspension damage or frame damage. In fact, the front wheels are still aligned...just Needs the front clip....no doubt it is still a project...but not near as big as Henry thinks...

When the car was totaled by the insurance company what was the estimated cost of repairs that justified a $30,000 payout.

If you'd like to piece out the car, I'd definitely be interested in Rims/tires. I've got an 03 CL-Type S with Navi and I scratched the hell out of my passenger side rim and looking to replace.

How can you ask $8,000 for a car that was totaled? Totaled means that the cost of repairs exceeds the value of the car. What did you pay to buy it back from the insurance company - $200, maybe $250?

There is no way in hell it needs only $6,000 in repairs - if this were true the insurance company would not have totaled it.

This car is good only for parts.
