Center caps can not be powder coated since they are plastic, those were painted with Tamiya TS21 gold paint.

When they powder coat the wheel, it is first chemically stripped, then a base powder is applied and then the finishing powder.

They can do the entire wheel or the face only. I had them do face only being it was what I could afford at the time.

If I didn't need the money I would definitely keep these wheels and redo them in a Time Attack finish.

^It had costed me a little over $100 per wheel. It varies where you go, I found a new place that does it $75 per wheel. Why the thumbs down?

If you do a search under my name in the 1st Gen TSX forum for threads started by me you will find a few daylight photos.

I really don't have any money to send them out to be redone.

Shipping to Anchorage, Alaska is ridiculous! $386 4 days Ground.

Sorry not in for any trades, if I didn't need the money and space I would keep both sets of these wheels because I've had big plans for them.

I doubt you'll find pics unless someone has photoshopped them

I will try to take a picture of the HFP rim when I get home, there is no tire because it blew out.

These A-Specs go for atleast $1300 brand new. I bought them for $900 and then powdercoated them for $440. I am asking $700 OBO for these discontinued wheels because of course this finish is worthless to all prospective buyers.

They can easily be sanded down and painted to look new, as you see many threads of members doing so.

And of course if you have the money to do it right, you can always powdercoat them.

That was my concern - if you severely bend/curb or crack one are you really looking at a $450 replacement (assuming you can even find one)? Then you have to take that brand new wheel and get it finished the same as the other 3....

Thanks for the bump guys.

I miss my car, haven't driven it for the new year at all ;[

and yes that's 5 HFP rims for $700, with one slightly bent
(you can use as a spare) which breaks down to $140 a wheel compared to $226.. hmm..

just an FYI to locals

there is a place called Al's Hubcaps in Mineola NY... people from all over the country use his for repairs... even dealerships... its a small, dirty run down building, with a trailer outside.. and the guy is the biggest hippy 60 year old pothead you'll ever meet... but damned if he cant fix some wheels real nice

i had an $1100 discontinued 2pc wheel fixed there....it was bent, and then i dropped it on its face.... 36 hours later, you couldnt tell it was repaired and repainted

Dude, your HFP's are hot sauce!!! So you're getting 5 rims, 4 with tires since one is bent? Or is it 5 HFP rims, 3 with tires, 1 bent and 2 (1 bent and the 1 extra) needs tires? All for $700/obo?
