The battery of my 2002 EL has gone flat this morning after leaving the car parked for a couple of days. Jump started the car. Everything is fine except that the driver side auto up/down window function does not work anymore. The power window still works but I have to hold the switch in open or close position.

I had the same problem once in my 2nd year owning the car. The dealership fixed it for me. They said that they have to reprogram the switch.

I searched in google and youtube but nothing came up. Does anyone know how to reprogram the auto up/down switch? Do I have to bring it back to the dealership to have it fixed? Thanks.

 

Hold down the window switch and keep holding it while the window is all the way down for like 5 seconds then keep holding it up and when it gets all the way up keep holding it for 5 seconds. If it doesn't work keep trying it, it will work.

 

My switch actually backed to normal by itself in the third day. I will keep your tip in mind in case I need it in the future again. Thanks.
