I am pretty sure I saw a link in Photography and Cameras to a web site that had good locations to take pictures, listed by city. I was searching in old threads, but can't remember what I was searching for. Maybe referred to them as "secret" locations, or great spots most people didn't know about, or something like that... I think it was in a post with three links.

Anyway, for the life of me, I can't find it. Anyone have any ideas?

I am particularly interested in the travel guides. I think they include lot's of good places to take pictures, beyond the usual tourist pull-outs on the freeway.

Thoughts?

 

For areas within a day or two travel from your homeland, check out the series of books called Photographing the Southwest by Laurent Martres. I believe there's four of them now. I should note that these are not at all picture books in and of themselves. They're mostly text descriptions of the various places and how to reach them with a concentration on non-tourist and out of the way locations.
