Thinking of buying a used Canon Rebel XT?

Hey Guys noob to DSLR cameras, I've done some research but would like some input.

I saw a local ad for a used Canon Rebel XT Silver for $350 includes the following:

Manual
USB Cable
Two Batteries
Charger
18-55mm kit lens
75-300mm lens

This seems like a killer deal, which makes me a bit nervous. What kind of questions should I be asking the seller? Anything I should be worried about buying a used DSLR?

Thanks

Hmmmm....for that price I would recommend a used 30d.

That price is for a body and two lenses, not bad if you know the person, but if it's a c/l list ad; "it's buyer beware", but it's a hold kit.

Only thing you could do is meet in a public place (if c/l's ad), check out the camera with each lens and see if it works properly.

What's a hold kit? Does that mean starter kit? Yeah c/l ad, I just also saw another ad Canon Rebel XS for $350
Comes with original box, AV cable, usb cable, manuals, wide angle lens converter, software, 18-55mm lens with lens stablization, shutter release cable, 8gb memory card, battery, battery charger, Canon strap and a 4 color reflector.

first question is, have you held a Rebel yet? They can be a bit small unless you have little girls hands for some people, necessitating the need to buy a battery grip as well in some cases. At that point you would be better off to buy a used 20-30D for the same price for the body
