Why have a sports body that can do 20fps..., and they have no supertele lenses to use on it?

That 100-400mm is still a rumor. Can't find any news on it.

Just found it.

It's tough the first few times but once you get it set up the way you want, it's just fine.

A9 for $4500 is lol. I'll stick with what I have. Guessing the 100-400 is going to have a similarly insane price tag.

$4500 is actually lower than predictions, the rumor was going to be $6k but then again, the a9R hasn't been announced yet

i haven't seen much yet, but a quick glance in the press release about the "stacked" sensor sounds like it's only related to speed.

Me too. Then I'm not going to buy that one either.

Waiting for the A7III which will likely be my next body...even though I don't need one.

Looks like the new battery is physically bigger. That's what I thought. But you never know

Dimensions1.5 x 0.9 x 2.0" / 38.7 x 22.7 x 51.7 mm
VS

Dimensions1.25 x .75 x 1.8" (31.8 x 18.5 x 45.0mm)

its not even needed. The newer bodies can be ran powered off USB.

just attach a 20,000mAh battery bank. It'll last longer than 4 of those new batteries.

Yes it's definitely nicer. But poor battery life is an issue with all mirrorless cameras. (EVF/LCD & full time sensor reading)

For comparison to your 5D Mark IV battery:
Canon LP-E6N
Capacity 1865 mAh
Output Voltage7.2
Dimensions 2.2 x 0.8 x 1.5" / 5.6 x 2.0 x 3.8 cm

Also there's this:
Nikon D810
Battery Life (CIPA) 1200 (OVF)

Nikon D500
Battery Life (CIPA) 1240 (OVF)

Canon 80D
Battery Life (CIPA) 960 (OVF)
Battery Life (CIPA) 300 (Live View)

Canon 5D Mark IV
Battery Life (CIPA) 900 (OVF)
Battery Life (CIPA) 300 (Live View)

Sony A9
Battery Life (CIPA) 650

Panasonic GH5
Battery Life (CIPA) 410

Sony A6500
Battery Life (CIPA) 350

Fuji X-T2
Battery Life (CIPA) 340

Sony A7RII

Video looking thru the viewfinder, you can see them fire off some pics, like they said, no blackout (looks like they have a OSD box that flickers to let you know its taking a shot )

Another video, sadly it looks like per this video the A9 doesnt offer Log recording and accessing the menu is disabled until the buffer is cleared, but like the A6500 you can review images while the buffer is clearing.

I think just the A7RII and A7SII can do it. A7II definitely can't. With mine, it switches to charge mode when I plug it into a battery bank. They can all charge via USB though.

Unless there has been an update?
