Some of my work over the past year or so

Im not that great at photography yet, still learning and what not. I shoot with a canon rebel xti w/ a stock 18-55mm lens. Here are a few pics ive taken...

I like how you call the kit lens a "stock" lens like if it was a car

1. I think I know what you were going for but it looks underexposed. Composition could be better if you off-center it vertically.

2. This is simple but I like it. A few suggestions: Dash on left is a little distracting - burn it and make blacks real blacks. Bump up clarity/contrast and make whites whiter.

7. I like it

Also, not every single photo you process needs to have vignetting... just sayin'

I like the vignette occasionally, but when used every time I find it to be visually fatiguing.

Like I am being forced to look at the center of the photo every time. If the subject is compelling enough, I will find it on my own.

Depth of field, framing and lighting may be other good ways to try to "direct the eye" in the picture.
