Should I keep the old body?

I have a D50 body. People say...keep it, and use it as a back up.

My back up has never seen action as a back up. At the same time, ebay's going price IRL is $50. $50 is not going to make me rich or pool the $$$ to really get what I want. And honestly, $100 won't do much. And I know no one will even offer $100 or 70 or $65.

Do any of you face the same situation? Where good gear have no real use or real market value. What would you do? Continue to take up space in the camera bag and at home?

Not a pro, just a regular guy. I'm think a camera phone is my back up "camera" on a trip, for example.

I gave our family D50 to a girl in HS that needed a digital body, that was the only way I would have given it up.

And I would always have two DSLR's....

Keep it or give it to someone who needs it.

It'll be worth more than $50 to someone who needs it.
