Is the zoom reversed on the Tokina as compared to Canon lenses?

Great purchase. I loved the Tokina 12-24mm when I had it for my Nikon D70s. Great lens.

Thanks! Aw jeez, I got a thumb print on the hood in the picture. I fail.

I am still planning on getting the 2.8IS version, but for traveling and light daytime use, this is perfect. If it gets stolen abroad, I will not have a coronary, and it is light and easy to pack. Hoya Pro1 UV and CPL filter pack inbound from HVStar, along with a center pinch Canon lens cap...

I recently got a Nikon D60 with the AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm VR Lens. It came with the "123 of digital imaging" and I've been going through it for the past while. Between the program and the information posted here, hopefully I'll actually learn some things and be able to contribute some decent photos to the forum.

I like it pretty well so far...but then again, I don't have any other experience with DSLRs. I didn't really look at any other cameras since I got this one from Aeroplan, hahaha.

EDIT: The only downside about this camera is that it has no AF mechanism built into the body and the only way to use the AF feature is by using AF-S and AF-I lenses.

My previous camera was an old school Sony DSC-P1 which I stopped using years ago because the battery life sucked balls.
