North Manitou Island, MI - Backcountry Trip

Just some favorites from my 3 day journey into the wilderness. Ike caused it to rain most of the time, but we did get to enjoy the select moments of calm serenity.

Very nice series and looks like a fun trip regarless of the weather. Great mood and processing.

My back and feet are aching just looking at those packs. Adding camera gear on top of that makes me ache even more.

Nice work! I agree with both of the above, and actually really like the one of your gear on the trail as well. I've taken shots of my stuff out on hikes, but never liked the "feel" as much as the one you've posted above.

Thanks for the comments guys. It was actually a lot harder to trek around my bag than I thought. I only had two lenses, but the were both fairly heavy primes and we hiked about 24 miles in 2 days.

Weathersealing definately came to good use while shooting since it was raining more of saturday (due to ike) but I definately need to bring just one lens for travel... plus a smaller bag.
