I'm looking to get my first set of umbrella's and strobes this week when my return hits my account ---- well maybe next week. Needs to get some tires first

you know, i thought these new ones would save me money on not having to buy a PC to hot shoe adapter for my 430ex, but the extra cost makes up the difference
^yah i realized that but i didnt want to keep postwhoring this thread.
does anyone know if theres a way to make the flex trigger strobes or do u think its only going to trigger the speedlite?

its the same way the plusII and multimax units set off strobes.
fyi
RF noise emitted by the 430EX, 580EX and 580EX II flash units limits the reception range of FlexTT5 to approximately 50 feet when flash is normally mounted. Reception can be increased using steps described in the Instruction manual. It can be greatly improved by separating the flash from the FlexTT5 by using the Canon OC-E3 cord.
