Manfrotto RC2 vs RC4

Now I'm considering the 488 instead of the 486, since it has spirit levels and can pan.

The 488 uses RC4 instead of RC2. Is one better than the other?

The different is just size to allow for more weight.

Just read a bit more on POTN and sounds like the RC4 is a bit big for the EOS line. Unfortunately, the 488RC2 that I see on amazon does not have the spirit levels.

You could do what Dan suggested and what I ended up doing, and that's get a two-axis hotshoe level for around $30. The RRS ballhead doesn't have a spirit level either, and this takes care of that.
