Hey guys!
You guys have got me into the photo taking mood lately. Every time I come in this section I'm in awe of your guys and gals photos. Tomorrow Im going to buy a Nikon D80 DSLR. Im pretty much going to be using it taking pictures of Objects both man made and natural as well as some modeling type shots. What lenses would you guys recomend I pick up? Aslo is the Pop up flash that comes with it good enough or should I look at getting a new flash. Im looking to spend between $1000-$1200 for the body and lenses. I have seen some nice pagages with carry case, 2 or 3 lenses, hard case tripod and depending on who you get it from lens hoods or lens cleaners. What else should I look into getting? Thank you all for your help and I hope to have some great pics to post soon!

I'm not a nikon guy, but some general crud:
1) External flashes rule. Bounce flash owns.
2) Buy a good lens, use it forever. Don't skimp on a cheapo and replace it later.
You don't have to blow the bank, just make sure to buy a keeper.
$1200 for a body and lenseS (plural???) sounds dodgy to me.

Nikon is very picky about their warranty, so make sure the dealer is an authorized Nikon retailer and the body & lenses are all USA models, not imports. $1200 for a D80 body with 3 lenses sounds very low. B&H has the D80 body only for ~$1100 and with a 18-135mm for ~$1300. They're even out of stock at that price.
Who's the retailer you're looking at?

I noticed a D80 kit at Costco this weekend with two lenses - don't remember the price but it seemed pretty reasonable. I didn't look too closely because I'm in no mind to look beyond my D200.
For external flash, get the SB-800. Other things you will want - several large (2G) SD cards. If you are going to take pics of objects, photomacrography might be your cup of tea so get a macro lens.
Then all you need is post processing software - I use Photoshop CS2 for the small amount of PP my photos are worth, and Photoshop Elements to keep all the pictures organized.
