Funny Camera stories?
Hey All,
Any funny camera stories to share?
This didn't happen to me, but it's hilarious none the less.
One of my friends was on a camping trip, and then a large bee (or something)
landed on someone's leg. he immediately jumped up and tried to kick it off.
When he kick, his foot accidentally caught the strap of my friend's camera
and so he ended up launching the camera into the distance.
Anyway, luckily the camera didn't get kicked horribly far, and it didn't appear to be damaged by the fall. good thing it didn't hit a rock or something.
Anyway, I can only imagine everyone's reactions.

Every now and then I pull out one of my telescopes in the front yard to look at the Moon and planets. I love sharing the views through the scope and talking to people about space so I was disappointed that none of my neighbors ever approached me when I was outside with the telescope.
Well one night the guy two doors down finally came over. He seemed suitably impressed with the views of the Moon and we proceeded to talk for about fifteen minutes. I told the guy to feel free to stop over any time he ever noticed me outside with a scope.
Two or three months later there was a Lunar eclipse that I decided to try imaging through the scope with my Canon 10D. There are a whole slew of accessories involved in astro imaging so I had a small camp table set up next to me. I already had the camera off of the scope and setting on the table and was pivoting to set some other piece down. In my peripheral vision I saw my same neighbor guy just off the edge of his driveway walking toward me. Well, you guessed it. While neighbor guy was walking toward me, I fumbled the gizmo in my hand and simultaneously managed to knock the 10D off the table smack onto the driveway. This of course elicited a somewhat loud "SON OF A BITCH!!!" from me.
After scooping the camera off the ground at Mach 2 speed, I glanced over and neighbor guy was 3/4 of the way up his driveway walking back toward his front door. He's never been over since then.
BTW - The camera was fine other than a scuff and the eclipse images turned out so-so.
