Yes the all the iPad and iPhones support raw at this point.

Lightroom on the iPad Pro is finally really good with that last update...still needs more but really good, and I have it sync currently. BUT again, not so great with the Fuji and sharpening. But I still have testing to do, as I haven’t really dont any serious shooting since making the switch.

But there are supposedly TONS of RAW editors that handle Fuji better than Lightroom. Cap One, ON1, Alien Skin X3, Picktorial, etc

And Affinity on the iPad Pro is one seriously powerful editor...probably the most PC competing editor out there...but it takes time to learn...and I have to test to see if handles Fuji Raw better than Lightroom.

it sure is. Ive seen a few youtubers completely ditch Adobe products for Affinity.

They also edit their videos with LumaFusion. Which amazingly supports editing 4K60FPS content

I only asked about RAW because I told a guy at work yesterday that the iPad Pro supports RAW and he said it didn't for him for some reason, it made me think twice about it. I bought my wife an iPad Pro and she's been doing a lot of art work with it, using the pencil. While it's not as powerful as her Cintiq tablet, she prefers the iPad Pro since she can just draw while on the couch

How is he transferring the images to his iPad?

if it's by wifi, all camera companies seem to only want to transfer jpegs
(would be nice to be given a choice and acknowledge it'll take a long time and consume more battery power)

he would have to use the lightning SD card reader or lightning to USB adapter.

Camera SD adapter.

Fuji will o my do Jpeg over WiFi...and it’s not fast either. So, I’d rather use the adapter.

there is a cap on Mpx supported but I don’t remember what it’s up to. It’s high to support almost all standard bodies.

Now if only Canon would release a firmware update to add 4K to the 6D Mark II, or heck even the ALL-I video compression for 1080p/720p

I did notice the 4K time lapse mode records in ALL-I, so its not like the camera isn't capable of it

^ haha yes! My daughter got one for Christmas as well. Image quality wise you won't get the best, but it really does give you the old film look. The film refills run almost a dollar a shot so you really gotta make it count.

Yeah the film is pricey. Got 20 shots for like 15 bucks at Walmart. I know quality wise it won't be super sharp. Just something warm and nostalgic about Polaroids. Going to be really selective about shots and most likely do a scrape book of collage type thing.

I will be getting a cork board for my daughter to pin her pictures on. I really love the way the pictures look because like you said, it gives off a nostalgic feeling.

Missed some rumors.

X-H1 should have a shorter almost blackout free EVF, like the Sony A9.

Should be announced on Feb 14th.

X-E3 and X-Pro 2 firmware/bug fixes
1. Auto Geotagging and Date/Time synchronization by Bluetooth pairing
When connecting to Bluetooth, Geotagging and Date/Time information of a camera can be synchronized with the information of a smartphone. “SMARTPHONE SYNC. SETTING” is added in Bluetooth SETTING. *To use this function, the application software “FUJIFILM Camera Remote” needs to be upgrade to the latest version Ver.3.1.0.2. The phenomenon is fixed that live view blinks on LCD and EVF with face detection and dynamic range 400% setting.
You can download X-Pro2 firmware ver. 4.01 here.1. A phenomenon of freeze is fixed. It will occur in case you try to shoot pictures when all the three settings below are set at the same time after the firmware has been upgraded to version 4.00.
1. IMAGE QUALITY : FINE+RAW or NORMAL + RAW
2. RAW RECORDING : LOSSLESS COMPRESSED
3. DRIVE : any of ADVANCED FILTER

X-T3 rumors pooped up today too

  • Fujifilm X-T3 announcement around photokina 2018, which takes place at the end of September (probably shortly before photokina)
  • New X Processor Pro
  • New X Trans Sensor with more than 24MP but less than 30 MP

X-A5 and XC 15-45mm f3.5-5.6 pancake zoom to be announced Jan 31.

IIRC the X-A line had a Bayer sensor vs X-Trans on cameras like the X-T2/20

Fuji should not be trying to play this game. They can’t compete with the a7sii or the gh5s for video.

with a newer improved xt3 announcement around the corner.

Im curious if there are enough Fuji users shooting video out there whining enough to make this an issue. Or if Fuji really thinks they can sneak into the prosumer video market.

IBIS is more useful for video.

The X-T3 is rumored to NOT have IBIS.

10bit internal recording is more so. 4.2.2 even more so.
