Question Best way to carry a tripod?

I am looking for a way to carry my tripod around when I go out and shoot. This may be a dumb question, but im a n00b when it comes to this stuff. What ways do you guys/gals use to carry your pod around? Is there a backpack/ camera bag that I can strap my pod to? I need something very soon. Im going to a nature park some time this weekend and I would like to bring it with me. I want to get used to using/ carrying it around. Thanks in advance for any insight you pros could share with me.

The only dumb questions are the ones you don't ask. Just get a camera backpack for your DSLR, and one that has a strap at the base of it for the tripod. That way your hands are free...plenty of those around. Just go to online sites that sell photo equipment. Maybe even some local stores may have one you like.

Exactly. My camera backpack has a flip-down pocket that the legs go into near the bottom, and some bungie ties to stabilize it in the middle and at the top. Very easy.

Although the angle isn't ideal, you can get an idea of the set-up in this pic.

^^ That's what I do. I also tend to just throw it over my shoulder if I'm moving around a lot at a location.
