Any Photoshop Experts on Here? Need Your Help!
I have a picture that I need Photoshopped for my father for a Christmas gift. I will pay for the final finished digital copy. I will upload it from my phone in another post.
In WWII, my grandfather served aboard the USS South Dakota, BB-57. Recently I went to go visit the USS Alabama (BB-60) in Mobile, and decided to take a picture of my two kids in front of the ship below the bow with the "60" showing behind the kids. The white-lettered, non-black-background "60" on the ship is curved slightly, hence the reason for the Photoshop expert needed.
Bottom line: I would like to change the "60" in the background in the original photo to a "57" in the same style and size of lettering. Basically I want to replace the "60" with a "57."
Like I said, the numbers have to curve with the contour of the ship.
I'd be willing to pay up to $30 for this effort, assuming the letters are the right font, right type (white with black background), and curved. Need this done ASAP. If you can agree, please PM me. Thanks everyone!

Some original photos for reference.

Actually, looking at wartime pictures of the USS South Dakota, there is no black background to the white numbers. So when the 60 is replaced with a 57, the black would have to be colored the same color as the rest of the gray of the ship and have just the white remain.

Gatr I am willing to give this a shot this evening but I have to say if you are looking for accuracy of this the number 60 appears to be much higher and larger than the original number placement. You can see based on the either weld, rivet, or bolt marks on the hull. The only 57 was smaller and between the two rows of those markings and the new one is halfway above and below that top level of markings. The old number also appears to not be on the curved section at all but rather the flat area below the curve.

The photoshop work won't really be that difficult I believe. I think the bigger issue will be tracking down a font.

I believe these are the right numbers for it. I can't find a font name for it but I should be able to create a vector of the actual number 5 and 7 to use.

Ok so after take a closer look at the images of the 57 at home it seems the numbers are actually aligned to the bottom water edge and not the top of the boat as they are now. So that is how I placed them in these. If you want them aligned more like the other ones in the original I can do that and it will only take 60 seconds to change it.
I wasn't sure if I went to far and changed the picture up but here it is with the railing removed. My not be perfect as it has been a while since I have done such a large image removal from a picture or photoshop work in general.
And not sure if you were serious about the money but I don't want any money for doing it. I Hope your dad enjoys the photo.

Looking at it this morning with fresh eyes I think I need to make a few tweeks to it this evening. The 57 needs a little more perspective angling, I missed a small piece of the rail removal on your sons shirt, and the light flare mark should be removed cause it was coming off the railing which is no longer there.
