This contest's theme is "Food"

ANY interpretation of "Food" is allowed. Be it a thanksgiving dinner at home, a cone of ice cream in the city or fruits on a tree.

HDR IS allowed.

-The subject of the photo has to in some way convey the idea of "Food".
-All pictures must have a title.
-You must be the person that took the picture.
-Previously taken photos are allowed, however, photos used in previous contests are not allowed.
-One submission per person.
-Images must be no larger than 1024px in any direction. Links to larger images are allowed, but you must have one that is no larger than 1024px for the poll.
-All contestants must host their own pictures.
-While post processing in Photoshop is allowed, adding or removing parts of the picture is not. In the event a photo is suspected to be "photo-chopped," the contestant will be asked to provide the original picture.

Important dates and poll info:

Entries must be submitted to this thread no later than Friday December 9th at 9PM EST.

The poll will start on Saturday December 10th.

The poll will close on Wednesday, December 14th at 9PM EST.

yeah, seems like it. What do you think about doing "Themes" instead of contests? I know we've talked about it before. Open threads, no deadlines. Just a 'direction'.

The deadlines are what is killer. I start work by 8 typically and I have been getting home between 8-9 pm lately. I don't have time to do anything, let alone take pictures for a contest.

im happy with it Joe. My buddy stationed there had took me there with his wife. the Garlic shrimp was so good i went for seconds. But man it was a little bit of a drive for it. Next time ill make Rick drive for it. lol

If you hit the original korean Kahuku truck.. no need for seconds.. also, there's a kahuku shrimp place off Keeaumoku.. Andy's.. very good as well. Not as good but if you don't want to drive.. worth it.

or in the case of a popular one, after X amount of entries a time deadline will be enforced?
