Looks like the voting will be fairly close.

You can only vote one time, but you can - or could have - vote for more than one picture.

thanks everybody... I have to admit though... I have to give credit to Frank Gehry... the building itself is a work of art... I don't think it can get anymore "Architectual Abstract" than that. I was lucky that I got there that day as the sun was setting... I was so pissed about the Saints losing to the Bears, I didn't even care about the Patriots/Colts game... my GPS showed that I was able to get to downtown L.A. from my parents' house in 30 minutes... so I just took off for it.

Thanks everybody for voting... There were some tough competition. I went back looking at some of the past contests, and the few that I looked at... all had one runaway picture.... but I really thought either "Level 5" or "Gateway" was going to catch up, maybe a 3 way tie. I'm NOT going to admit which one... but there's a pic that I actually liked better than mine...

...so, how much time do I get to come up with the next theme? I have a couple in mind, but not sure if they are interesting enough...

thanks, yeah, it was a toss up between the two... I, actually, had more that I was torn between... which I'm going to post now in that other thread....

Obviously everyone has their own interpretation of words, and, the theme I chose, at least by the wording, wasn't the clearest of things (as alluded to by the 2nd post in the original thread.) For what it's worth, when I thought of this theme, what I had in mind was taking (possibly ordinary) architectural elements and portraying them in abstract way(s). An "abstraction" of architecture. But I know it was pretty vague so I'm not surprised with the varied results. But I think if I could do it over again, I would have tried to clarify that better. I don't really have a point here, so don't try finding one. :P

thats kinda how i ended up there on superbowl sunday, i was at my friends place at UCLA, and left 30 minutes or so after the game and headed to santamonica beach to take pictures, i was like hmm... wonder how far the walt disney concert hall is from here, so i asked tom tom and he said it wasnt that far so off i went.
