Needs more Lemon Pledge
Feels a wee bit washed out in the foreground. Like I feel like squinting a little even though it is a picture.
May be my monitor though.

I shoot people
up in the front, there weren't any hawt chicks, but I assure you, there are plenty here in Vancouver... at least this part of Vancouver. My gym is on the 2nd floor of a popular intersection, and the eye candies that walk by while I do cardio everyday are motivating

I shot this today, halfway across, I thought, hey dumbass, take a picture. Pulled my phone from my leg pocket, unlocked the screen. ANd click, didn't think it was going to turn out. I'm pretty surprised that the iP4 nailed it.

I miss my 03 CL-S :(
I'd rather see color in fruits. But I like how the BW shot still makes them look so juicy

would it be lame if I said I purposely made them b&w just to be different?

Ha, thanks!
It wasn't the very best time of day, but at least the clouds were pretty. I was wishing I'd brought a longer lens, there were four herons fishing off the rock right in front of us for quite a while.

Creepy guy in the mirror.
drigo. I love the lighting and bokeh on your portrait. I think that particular shot and pretty model needs eye contact though. That and it makes the glue on eyelashes too distracting.

quick question...most of you guys here know i do landscapes...but when you do portraits...mainly headshots...do you always focus on the eyes?

Some of the other guys here do a lot more portraits. Rules can be broken but in most cases you want at least one eye sharp in a portrait. Also eyes should line up on one of the thirds lines. And when using strobes try to have only one catchlight in the reflection. Since we tend to relate with people by eye contact you want to see that contact in a portrait.
However a lot depends on your subject matter. For example if you are highlighting stunning hair you might not even see the eyes. I have also seen shots of very freckle faces where the freckles become the focus and not the eyes.
Short answer is yes... Long answer is maybe...

lol..it was kinda tricky...but here's the shot i caught when she was looking straight..again i had no control of her movements or lighting...i was just in the background...
btw..how do you get rid of the reflections in her eyes?
