i wanted to shoot this old fire truck not far from my house...but it's sitting behind a fence...with barbed wire i think...so i didn't get an entry this round either...

I had my eye on a couple of abandoned houses and factories but I am a big chicken too.
You run into either of 2 things... Transients and crack whores, or rent-a-cops trying to keep transients and crack whores away.

yeah I was reluctant myself, I did run into someone (I did this Sunday), it was a suspicious-looking guy walking a dog... when it seemed apparent he was going to say something, I pretty much assumed it would not be good and prepared for the worst. I had just taken some pano shots by holding my camera over a high wall to get a clear shot, and he had seen this. Thankfully, all he said was that the place was deserted and he suggested I get up on the wall for a better view. He was actually, like, normal. hehe

A lot of good pics in here, good luck to everyone else! I took a risk at the place I snapped my pic at. I was told that people vandalize the area quite often (and it was quite apparent when I was there) so if you are caught there you can expect to be fined for trespassing. Good thing I got mad ninja skillz.

Congrats PiZaul and Stogie. This was my first poll so I have no idea what the rules are for a tie - it wasn't in the post I plagerized.

I'll have to agree with the last few posts - the quality and creativity shown here is great.

Congrats guys! Real nice entries. Mine was kind of creepy I admit. My daughter didn't like it too much either. She was with me when I shot that and kept asking why I was making her baby dead.

And I agree as well. Shortening the duration is a great idea. Allows time for more!

I like the "After the party" interpretation of the theme.

Everyone else seemed to go for longer periods of "after people" while that photo focused on the immediate effects.

I just thought I would add that. Props for being outside the box.
