well with cell phones, you gotta dial and call one person as opposed to the whole caravan by a push of a button on the walkie talkie. i figure it'd be a lot more better for our needs

 

it would work good if we had multiple walkie talkies. dunno how much i would be using them. i have to focus pretty hard on those caravans already with weaving back and forth and constant downshifting, etc. if i was driving like i usually do at 60, then i would walkie talk all day.

 

downshifting you guys use sport shift. I dont even use mine should I start can I save gas LOL!

i only use it to hold gears and when i downshift. i try to use it a less as possible.

well i wouldnt be holding the walkie talkie in my hand the whole drive, just when i need to talk. and its not to my face so i think it would be ok. its like holding your cell phone in your hand when you drive. imagine if your on speaker phone. theres no law for holding a cell phone.

well i figured that since we probably would be going pretty fast, we might need them just to let each other know about cops, losing each other, and stuff like that.

depends if i have to work, but i'll do my usual exterior wash, engine and interior wipe down. nothing special.

downshift.. either on SS or sequential.. and right when i downshift.. i blip the throttle.

its kinda of like rev matching... so when you downshift.. the revs are up to where the previous gear would end.. blah blah blah.... the 3G TL-S does that automatically when you downshift(on auto.. duh~) i believe... anyways.. how's the cruise planning going for yall???????

schedule the time to arrive at 12?! that means i would have to change all the times for the sac caravan and nor cal gathering! i gave about a 30 min slack time to get to the gathering.
the sac caravan will be on time. consider this a warning to all the sac caravan members.

im a little more lenient on the leaving time for this since its pretty close to the park and hopefully there will be more people joining us but i will keep to my strict schedule. still not much word on a bay area caravan though.

well all nor cal members from the sac caravan and the bay caravan (which doesnt exist right now) will meet up here. So basically everyone from nar cal thats going to all-cali should be here at the time indicated on the front page. I know for sure that everyone in the sac caravan will be here since im coordinating both this gathering and the sac caravan.
