Intake CARB question
Not sure if this will see much traffic here. But I have a CARB question.
The intake I bought for my ILX is currently carb legal... but when I purchased the intake it was originanlly for the 1.8l civic which it was carb legal for.
Im wondering if the carb legal intake for the civic will still be carb legal on my ILX. The same intake is now currently carb legal but I am pretty sure I dont have any kind of sticker to prove so.
I do however have the carb code for the product which is CARB E.O Number D-550-16
Any thoughts? Am I safe leaving it on for smog when I do in the future or should I just take the 20 minutes to swap intakes before smog?

If D-550-16 doesn't list your vehicle model and year then it is not CARB legal for your vehicle and a thorough smog check will fail it.
I just went through this where I had "Carb Legal" headers with an EO number welded on that didn't cover my vehicle year. They failed me. I then showed the paperwork/sticker I had which included an updated EO number with my vehicle/year and I was passed.
Yes, it's stupid.

Old post, but for search results...
Search the CARB database for EO numbers here Database: Aftermarket Parts Database of Executive Orders
Your car is now listed, 2013-14 Acura ILX
When you go to SMOG, the technician will most likely check for EO number on the device so he can look it up in database. No sticker number, no pass visual.
Just wondering, why are you smoging a 2013 ILX already? Change of ownership? Cars under 4 model years old are exempt. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/vr/smogfaq. If you keeping it, you shouldn't have to do it for 6 years.
