Damn thats super early! Since i will be bringing my wife and our little baby girl i might not make it to the caravan but i am willing to play catch up. So i just need to know what highway we will be taking down. Also i dont want to dive that far for nothing so im making a mini vacation out of it by staying out there till Sunday evening so just letting you guys know that i wont be caravaning back with the group.

Wait Friday the 24th at 5 A.M.

what the hell, I didn't pay attention to the dates.

Should avoid the commute traffic leaving at 5 though.

Those are questions that should have been addressed/ brought to attention before when the original planning started back in October. People are more than likely to stay until Sunday if they'd like and make it a 3 day thing like Vic is doing.

I think this should be pushed to may to allow maximum participation and to give people time to get off work and plan for the trip. we should put a poll of all the weekends thats how its decided.

it will be going through I-5 my man. but if need be, we can adjust the caravan route accordingly.

As far as I'm concerned, the date will stay, people had plenty time back in October during the date/location planning to pick dates and voice their opinions.

Originally, I wanted it in May, but everyone else said it was too late, so April was decided and it will stay April.

For those who can't make Friday, just show up Saturday. Hence the two day meet to give people an extra day to show. And some are even staying Sunday as well. So, we might even be able to make a third day event on Sunday if we find enough people staying till then, if not its all good too. But the date ain't changing its already set and too late to change everything now.

If a lot of people cant get Friday off then we can set up a caravan after work like 4 or 5pm? Would anyone be down for that? Im not sure if my wife will be able to take the day off so we might head out on both our TLs after 3:30 when she gets off.

Flip. What happened to the C-10 build?!.

Haha I can't believe people didn't know the dates! But I guess we all assumed that it was for a Saturday like many meets usually are.

As for the nor cal caravan, there should be a separate bay area caravan for those guys if enough of them are going.

That would be tons of traffic coming from LA. Shit, would probably take 8-9 hours just to get there. LOL.

If you could route it through 680 to meet up in San Jose then we can all roll together down the 101. Just checked the route and time, looks like it adds 6 mins going through 680 as oppose the the 5 Meet spot will be set off 680 right before the 101.

I think we all want to go on I-5 cause of three reasons: Less chance of traffic, no tolls and better road conditions.

Is there any way we can make this a couple hours later? Say 1-2pm? If we are supposed to be there at 10AM, then anyone who is not in Central Cali will have to be leaving before the butt-crack of dawn to make that 4-5 hour drive.

I for one agree here 100%^ Its going to be Friday. Every normal person works till the pm so the beach shouldn't start getting packed till after 3-4pm. As long as we get there 2ish i think we can still find parking right? Anyone with us?

Avila will be pretty tame on a Friday afternoon. Just don't expect the same for a mild weekend. Street Parking this last weekend was pretty crazy.

Avila will be congested on a weekend. There's no getting around it. It's more of a family oriented beach since the current isn't as strong, so people really like to pack in there rather than Pismo/Grover/Oceano.

There is a good outdoor bar next to the Custom House Resturant, which is pretty fantastic as well.

For those of you who feel up to it, you can drive onto the beach in Grover Beach. I never took the TL when I had it, but my Speed3 handled it fine.

This is the reason we need a bay area caravan so the bay area folk can roll together cause I think I-5 will be a better route especially for all of our cars since most of us are low and the roads will be a lot easier to navigate on the 5. But we can always take a vote and see from there. Especially if a majority of the caravan is sac folks and only a few bay area folk are rollin they should just meet us in sac and join the caravan. We stiill have time to figure it out though.

The meet will be going on all day so its okay if you show up at 1 or 2pm but the rest of us will be there already. The idea is to get early there early to have the whole day to play. Just cause you show up later doesn't mean the meet will stop. So if you can show up around 1 or 2 then show up that time and its all good.

Sounds like a good plan and thanks for the insight man! You will be joining us too right??? I feel like you can help us navigate around easier if anything since you seem to know the area best

It depends on my availability after the transfer. If all else fails, I'll PM you my number, and I'll give you solid directions to what's good and what not.

I'll be rolling in my regular Civic

I can go with the Sacramento caravan. West Sac isn't too far from Fair Oaks. Not too sure if I will for sure be able to make it. Work doesn't give me my schedule that far out in advance. (I have requested days off, but nothing is for sure) So for now just mark me as attending but I will update later as the event date gets closer.

I think who ever can't make the caravan can't make the caravan. As long as you get there in 1 piece. If it's at 3PM then it's at 3PM. Leaving at the "butt crack of dawn" may avoid some traffic concerns.
