I think we've had another all-cali in SLO before or Pismo. I'd have to do a serious search for those old threads.

Here's the location info from the 2008 meet:

Yea, Gary it was Chuckcasi.

Guys lets just face it, After the last Acurafest shit ain't the same. The people who coordinated aren't here on Azine anymore. Find a huge ass park somewhere.

Who lives near SLO or who has time on their hands to do some research?

Pismo has anyone looked there?
The problem I've seen over and over after 2010 is there's so much hype about it, then someone makes a thread wanting to set it up, and never follows through on putting their foot down on when and where. When you set up a meet, you don't ask when and where, you set when and where and people will follow.

This doesn't seem like it's happening.

How about here.

309 N Harbor Dr.
Redondo Beach, CA

It's SoCal, but I'm from Vegas, and I have mostly stayed in Redondo when I have visited California. Every time I skate past this spot, the parking lot is open. Also, the pier and the beach are basically walking distance. Plus, I don't think we need a permit to park there, and I doubt that we will be hassled.

That location won't work for the guys from Norcal. This is supposed to be an all-cali meet. We need a central location that has a near equal distance from Socal members and members in the Sacramento/SF bay area.

We could always just use an old location from a previous all-cali meet. The location is chose and proven to work.

Well, when I researched the old locations, I found that a lot of them involved buying permits from parks or the city, around 90$-110$. It's kind of too late to get that money together now, so if you can suggest a solid, free, location, by all means, let's make it official.

SoCal won't work. This meet isn't going to work. Try to plan one for next year or later in the year say..... July, when it's hot.

I don't think it's too late for this meet to still happen.

I didn't realize that the old locations needed permits but if we really need to, we can just have everyone that's going pitch in 5 bucks. I paid to get into the park when we had the meet in Fresno. If we need to pay a park entrance fee, I won't mind doing that again and I'm sure many feel the same. I'm tempted to just pick an old location that doesn't require payment up front and let you guys pay the entrance fee.

fresno, i know some of you dont want to go there, at the same park, Woodward Park, you dont have to get a permit.. just pay the entrance fee.. but if you want a place with tables and bbq pit, then reservation is needed

hey folks been busy lately and haven't had much time to keep up with organizing and looking for locations. However, a member mentioned awhile back about a caravan from the pismo outlets to the beach nearby.

Avila Beach Events Calendar | Concerts, Live Music, Art, Festival - Avila Beach Events

Here is a link to Avila Beach which is nearby from the caravan location we could all meet at since Pismo is equally distant to the NorCal/SoCal folks. There are many restaurants/things/places to go around that area which would be cool to check out if we end up there. Parking is 5$ all day (until 10 pm) which is not bad and would probably be better to arrive earlier to get priority parking.

It definitely isn't too late for this to happen, it's just we need more than one person to be organizing everything (events, places, caravans). I tried to start things off in the beginning and was really just getting names and people down and even decided on the date.

Date was set for April 24-25th we just needed to finalize the locations and caravans. And hotels for those staying the night (which there are 4 different kinds in the surrounding areas)

Personally, I like the idea of caravanning from the outlets to the beach for the meet. But obviously can't please everyone but there will have to be some sort of majority agreement in order for this to move forward.

We have a great number of people already who are down and willing to come out so now it just needs to be finalized.

1. Who cares where it is at anymore. People saying it HAS to be in the middle then giving no examples and just saying it won't work is not helping. At this point just make a choice on the location and people will show if they care. If it's free no one can complain because they didn't give a better option.

2. We don't need tables. We have cars. Open the door and sit. Or stand by your homies. Or sit by them. We just need something close to a food joint or two or someone to bring a portable bbq.

3. Let's not hear the negativity anymore. Ideas and examples or don't post. I can drive it any of the mentioned locations. Chances are I will just be there to shoot the shit so I don't plan on staying for a night nor care about the food situation. These aren't ever factors in going to another meet so why would it be now.

No need to BBQ or have tables. We could just pick a park to meet up then caravan to a food joint to a local shopping center for food.

Sounds like we're having the meet in Pismo.
The 30th Annual Mothers Polish Classic at Pismo Beach is meeting at 150 Pomeroy Ave‎, Pismo Beach, CA 93449. Let's use that spot too.

Yea I feel like it got over complicated with the worry of other things when the whole point was to have a big meet to chill with folks from all over Cali.

We just stick to a simple plan and all is good. All we need are the people and cars and the rest will figure itself out ya feel?

Now let's get this shit rollin!

ACURA Blues
Could it be that Honda
Installed a faulty part
For I believe our dashboards
Were defective from the start

I bought a pre-owned Acura
TL - Two Thousand Four
Well maintained and blemish free
Couldn’t ask for more

But then the dashboard fractured
Right where the airbag sits
And soon the dash was covered
With ugly splits and slits

And as these cracks were spreading
There came another blight
I’d start the car and then I’d get
The airbag warning light

At first no claim to Acura
My car was hardly new
But then I learned of many folks
That this had happened to

So I called and wrote to Honda
And sent them photographs
But all I got was the runaround
And corporate belly laughs

One-by-one they told me
That cracks are normal wear
As for the airbags underneath
They simply just don’t care

I know it can be argued
As Honda Reps have stated
That dashboard cracks and airbag threats
Could never be related

I suggest they prove it
With data gained from tests
Otherwise to drive our cars
We might need armored vests

So if your dashboard’s broken
Or airbags give you fright
Please join me now to protest
It’s long past time we fight

Honda/Acura has succeeded in denying our claims and ignoring our safety because we have voiced our complaints individually. But if we join together and speak with a single public voice, I believe we can force them to address our safety concerns and offer fair compensation. At the very least, we can expose their dishonorable behavior. To get this started, please contact me directly at horse@cox.net.

This will be the meet spot that we will begin the caravan from:

Friday, April 24th 10:00 A.M

Address: Pismo Coast Shopping Plaza, 333 5 Cities Dr #100, Arroyo Grande, CA 93420

From there, we will hit any of the areas close by which we can go to and from shopping centers, the beach and other food spots when we want to eat.

We can head to and start here from the caravan meeting point at the outlets.

404 Front St
Avila Beach, CA 93424

The distance is 8.6 miles (12 minute drive assuming no traffic)

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Pism...4!2d35.1788659

thats the google maps directions from the outlets to the beach.

From there, the world is ours and we will have the day to explore, eat, sight see and whatever else comes to mind!

If we arrive by 10 A.M (give or take 30 minutes or so due to everybody leaving different times), that will give us the entire day to chill and more than enough time to find hotels for those who plan to stay overnight which there are more than 4 hotel locations around the area.

*** Now, we will need to organize the caravan locations TO the Pismo outlets from the NorCal, Central Cal and SoCal area. Members will need to discuss and figure out regarding each area ***

However you guys want to organize this will be up to you, but it will make it much easier heading to the outlets in the morning because everything will be organized and all of the members will be together (at least those who can attend the caravan). We just need one person from each chapter (norcal, central?, and socal) in charge of picking a location so the other members can meet and caravan from there.

Then we will be set for everything. Cheers! If anyone has questions feel free to pm me and I can provide my cell number for a faster contact if need be.

Also, I do not mind being in charge of organizing the NorCal caravan? Unless someone else would prefer to, just let us know and post here and we can go from there.

- Teo

Teo, NorCal had two caravans. We had the Sacramento and surrounding areas, then the bay area had theirs I believe the bay had a couple different locations. Then we all met up right off the freeway, which gave us the opportunity to get gas, food or whatever it may have been.

It doesn't need to be in the middle. Pismo is the best location it's pretty much the same distance for folks in Nor Cal and So Cal.

I just thought that people driving would want to sit and relax, no one wants to sit in their car at a car meet especially one that should be this big, most of us in the past have had chairs and pulled those out of the trunk. So I guess you can sit and relax that way.

Ahhhh, yea I just remembered that when we did the presido meet in the bay it was just the big ass parking lot, then we rolled over to BJ's.

Just so everyone is clear, this meet isn't going to be like the meets in the past, nor will it be like CAM. Simple plan like you said, meet at the park and chill. Use Yelp for locations of places to eat and try to remember about entrances.

2 day meet. It's for those who plan to stay over night. Events can be planned for the second day if need be for those who stay.

I'll figure out the caravan for NorCal Kev, I can organize the bay area too unless someone else would prefer. No worries.

Is this going to be for Acurazine members only, or are you extending the invite to Accord members as well? Since there is no CAM this year that I know of. They may want to come out.

They have CAM and BAM

CAM = California Accord Meet

BAM = Big Accord Meet/ Big Ass meet.. depending on who you talk to.

They may have changed the name from CAM to BAM, but at one point. There were two seperate meets. I'll let them know. I just wanted to make sure it was cool before I started spreading the word to them and TSX....Club

I'll post the link over on the other forums once the new thread has been started. So people don't have to to filter all the rambling talk etc.

Let's keep the caravan talk in their respective sub-region threads so this thread doesn't get clogged up and confusing. Usually those actually going will start a caravan thread if they are really interested.

Good job on picking a place Teo. That's the biggest hurdle in planning a meet. Should be smooth sailing here on out.

With that being said, I'm afraid I will need to take my name of the list. The GF is celebrating her birthday that weekend in Vegas.

It seams like we have made a lot of progress since the last time i was on here. The only thing is the second place on 404 Front St Avila Beach, CA 93424 might be packed by the time we roll in but we can change plans there if anything. Also i hope there's not bumps any where that we go lol

I have been speaking with Scott (princelybug) through PMs and he made great suggestions that we should exchange cell phone numbers with those in charge of the caravans for the northern and southern chapters. That way it'll make contact easier.

Also as suggested, we will be posting the caravan lists in this thread to continue on with the planning, as it will make things easier so we don't keep making new threads that don't need to be made.

* Therefore, as of now we have a caravan spot setup with the OC area that Scott will be in charge of.

* We will need someone to take up a San Diego caravan spot as well. This will complete the southern chapter caravans.*

* I will be in charge of the greater Sacramento area caravan.

* We will need someone to take up the Bay Area caravan. This will complete the northern chapter caravans.*
