Zenvo ST1
Madly styled supercar boasts a Veyron-besting 1089bhp and 1055lb ft
By Stephen Dobie
17th December 2008
Clearly the world doesn't have enough mad hypercars, with the Bugatti Veyron, Ruf CTR3 and TVR Speed 12 clamouring for more competition. It has come in the shape of this, the Zenvo ST1, quite probably the world's first all-Danish car.
It's a rear-wheel-drive coupe, propelled by a mid-mounted 7-litre V8 which boasts a supercharger and turbocharger - making it good for 1089bhp at 6900rpm and a fairly frightening 1055lb ft, which is available from 4500rpm. Whether all of that can be transferred to the tarmac without repercussions is an entirely different matter.
Claimed performance for the 1376kg coupe is 0-62mph in around 3sec, 0-124 in under 9 and an electronically-limited 233mph. That allows it to drive the length of Denmark in 18 minutes, apparently. Mated to that monster engine is a six-speed manual gearbox and a hydraulic limited-slip differential.
The brakes are ventilated discs, covered up by 19in alloys at the front and 20in at the rear, wrapped in Michelin rubber. Ceramic brakes are on the options list, and quite possibly a wise buy to rein in all that grunt. Also on the options list is a roll cage and four-point harnesses, turning this into a pretty extreme trackday car, no doubt.
Development on the ST1 has been ongoing since 2004, with deliveries penned to start in 2009. Just 15 are set to be made, with no price tag quoted. It'll be at least six figures, if not seven we'd imagine.

I'm getting some hints of Cerbera, Furai, McLaren F1, and Zonda, all mixed in one. A dash of R8.

2009 Zenvo ST1
Press release...
A/S Zenvo Automotive is the company behind the first ever build Danish supercar. The company is located in Denmark 45 min. drive from the capital Copenhagen. Zenvo Automotive was founded with only one goal in mind - to produce unique hand built supercars. The research and development for the first prototype started in 2004. The prototype has now been completed and presented for a public audience for the first time at Le Mans 24 hour race.. Zenvo Automotive will start a series production of the car, named the Zenvo ST1. It will be a limited edition with only 15 cars to be built. Whenever possible we use local suppliers and we work closely with our business partners, enabling us to not only source the best components but influence the development process to achieve top performance and great design solutions for the Zenvo.
Zenvo ST1
The first supercar coming from Zenvo Automotive is called Zenvo ST1. S stands for Supercharger, T for Turbo and 1 for model number one. For the engineers and designers within Zenvo Automotive, a clear list of criteria was made to ensure the car would not only be a track worthy supercar but a car that would be suitable for everyday use. The ST1 even though so powerful, is very drivable. It retains the unique feeling of driving a hand built supercar while still delivering the needs of modern motoring and safety. The car is 100% built in Denmark. From its impressive list of mechanical specifications to its striking pose the Zenvo ST1 is the result of clever Danish design. All these features are blended together to form a vehicle that demands attention but remains purposeful and practical. The frame is steel space frame and the body is in carbon.
Design
The car is 100% Danish design. Denmark has always been known around the world for its cutting edge design and for the first time "Danish Design" has been applied to a Supercar! The design of the Zenvo ST1 is made from free flowing accelerating lines creating the shapes of the wheel arches, the roof lines, side line and the lower side air intake. The sharp lines are connected by muscular organic surfacing creating dramatic reflections. The front is designed around the hexagonal trademark Zenvo grille flanked by the large front air intakes used for brake cooling and housing the front light. The theme of the front is repeated in the rear which is designed around the big diffuser necessary for high speed stability and down force. As on the front the center volume is flanked by large air exits extracting hot engine air as well as housing the exhausts and rear lights. The rear spoiler, mandatory for a car capable of extreme high speeds, is partly integrated. It has a unique aerodynamic design following the raked shape of the rear end.
Comfort & Luxury
The Zenvo ST1 is equipped with all modern facilities which make the car usable for everyday use. The A/C makes sure that the cabin always has the right temperature and the build in navigation makes sure that you always arrive in time. The 7½" screen makes you able to see DVD and is also connected to a rear view camera to make reversing easy. The audio system also allows you to hear music from either your I-Pod, MP3 player, CDs or Radio. The racing seats are both electrical adjustable and so are the steering wheel. The start up of the Zenvo is easy due to key-less go. Simply just push the "start engine" button. When driving the head up display gives you a perfect and safe access to driving information. 2 build in airbags for extra protection and safety. When just cruising simply just use the cruise control. When leaving the car it automatically locks.
Engine & Power
The impressive power is supplied by a 7 liter V8 engine and yes, this is the first ever supercar combining the benefits from both a supercharger and turbo. This combination delivers all the power in one straight line. This makes the car very drivable and has the character of a normal aspirated engine but much more powerful. The engine is a Bio Flex engine. It can run on normal unleaded 98 (RON) or on Bio fuel (E85) or both combined.
Gearbox
The car is standard delivered with a manual 6 speed gearbox which is specially developed to handle the enormous torque and power. We are also offering an option of delivering the car with a paddle shift solution..

Insane $1.8 Million Danish Supercar Coming to U.S.
By Viknesh Vijayenthiran
Published June 14, 2011
We’ve known for some time that the insane 1,104 horsepower Zenvo ST-1 supercar would be coming to the U.S. but now we have official availability and pricing details, as well as news that there will be a special edition launch model.
The car’s local distributor, Red Sea Distribution, has announced that the Danish supercar will be arriving in a limited run of just 15 cars, 12 of them producing 1,104 horsepower and 1,055 pound-feet of torque.
The remaining three are an exclusive North American special edition model called the ST-1 50S. These will feature a more powerful 1,250 horsepower and 1,106 pound-feet of torque output (yes, that’s more power than the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport), and each will be offered in a unique color: Intense Red, Crystal White or Mediterranean Blue.
The trio will also get special individual monogrammed seats, lightweight magnesium wheels, and an exclusive complimentary Swiss made ‘Aspen Zenvo’ watch worth $49,000.
All Zenvo ST-1s feature a unique in-house developed supercharged and turbocharged 7.0-liter V-8 that will rocket the car from 0-62 mph in just 3.0 seconds and see it reach an electronically limited top speed of 233 mph.
Note that the cars are only offered with rear-wheel drive, though customers will be able to select from either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed sequential box with paddle-shifters. The special edition ST-1 50S models only come with the latter option, however.
All warranty and maintenance work will be carried out by Zenvo's concierge staff, who will fly to an owner's location anywhere in the world. So even with such limited numbers clients have no need to worry about having the vehicle taken care of. Onboard diagnostic allow the factory to check the car remotely, reset systems and even upload new engine and transmission software.
The starting price for membership in this exclusive club is a cool $1.8 million, before taxes.

Zenvo ST1 Prototype Crashes At Track Event
Todd DeMeza By Todd DeMeza Contributing Writer June 14th, 2010
Don’t be surprised if you’ve never heard of it.
The Zenvo ST1 is a Danish-built supercar. It is powered by a twin-charged (supercharged and turbocharged) 7.0L V-8 thundering out about 1,104hp and 1,050 lb ft of torque. A light weight chassis and carbon fiber panels help the curb weight to come in at little over 3000 pounds gives it an amazing power to weight ratio. Only 15 of the cars will be built at a price nearing $1 million and only to clients handpicked by the company.
So far, none have been built and the only one in existence, a prototype, has hit a snag. Like the prototype Bugatti Veyron, the Zenvo ST1 Prototype, has had an accident during an event called this one occurring in Jyllands Ringen, Denmark.
Apparently the driver, Troels Vollersten, spun out the million-dollar supercar and hit a wall. Luckily, the car slid a sand runoff area before he made contact, slowing the car down and minimizing damage.
The car was in fine working order after the track crew got the car dug out. The prototype will need a new coat of paint, but no panels seem to need replacement.
