XXX Performance: Custom R8 V10 (based on Audi R8) news **2013 Revealed (page 1)**

It’s all a matter of image: Audi’s sports car project with the abbreviation R8 once came as a real bombshell; it has meanwhile gone rather quiet around this perfect Porsche 911 substitute. A good quality second-hand of the “small” R8 with the popular 4.2 liter V8 of 420 horse power of the Audi RS4 is available at the moment as from almost EUR 50,000. This amount will definitely be sufficient to acquire a technically mature sports car that is extremely rare on German streets. In its format 8.5x20 and 11x20 inches, this combination with the befitting Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tires of 235/30R20 and 295/25R20 ensures sufficient grip on road surfaces. The H&R coilover kit that was completely modified on a G-Ride Airride system ensures a massive lowering of the vehicle. Indeed, the tuners of XXX Performance also left virtually no stone unturned in the 5.2 liter V10 engine. The engine software was optimized and a BMC carbon air-box as well as a high-end sports exhaust system with Bluetooth flap control system from the reputable Capristo establishment provided to achieve a boost in performance to the present status of approximately 650 horse power. The company from Bochum further achieved a boost in the visual appearance value of this roaring ten-cylinder aggregate by implementing different real carbon covers.
Apropos of value boost: The interior of the R8 V10 is now almost beyond recognition. Whichever way the eye strays, the fine Alcantara and real leather in carbon looks with white seams are always sure to be caught in all views. The roof liner, the complete dashboard, the steering wheel, the seats, the door claddings or the plastic parts, you name it: High-grade leather is henceforth seen and felt everywhere. Moreover, the arm supports were fitted with real carbon. There is finally a set of peccably expensive Audi RS-seats that are of course, equally slightly modified and given a facelift in their dressing.

Just last year, XXX-Performance from Bochum presented a breath-taking bright-green Audi R8 conversion. Now the tuning specialist is thrilling the scene once again: This time though, with an extravagant and exclusive wide body construction of Audi R8.
The broad mudguard, stone deflectors and sill-board of the aggressive GT-X650 wide-body kit transform Audi to an outright “monster”. Sophisticated details such as air inlets in the front and rear mudguards or the huge openings of the exhaust pipe-end make the wide body kit a unique product. The construction set is also optionally obtainable in a “slender” GT-X600 version. As opposed to the broad-construction body kit, this variation contains no broad mudguard but consists exclusively of front and rear aprons, side skirts and V10 side blades to match.
Attached parts such as external rear-view mirrors, roof scoops, side blades and rear diffusers are optionally obtainable in real carbon or can be covered in carbon-look wrapping – in any case, the dark carbon structure provides sensational contrast to the blue CFC chrome wrapping. XXX-Performance has added the Audi-Plus full LED headlamps and tail-lamps that are also obtainable from XXX-Performance, to match the brute visual appearance of the sportscar. Compared with the serial illumination system of Audi, the Audi-Plus headlamps and tail-lamps make the distinctive proverbial difference like Night and Day.
The H&R coilover kit that was converted by XXX-Performance from steel springs to air bellows ensures an extreme lowering of the blue bolide. Moreover, the driver will be able to conveniently adjust the height of the vehicle from the vehicle’s interior by a mere touch of a button. With barrel-type 235/30 and 325/25 Hankook tyres, there is hardly any space left in the wheel houses. The three-part GTR forged wheels in the dimensions 9x20 inches and 13x20 inches with sporty and elegant looks are taken from the US rim manufacturer Forgiato.
Talking of performance-boosting however, XXX-Performance draws from abundant resources. Using chip-tuning and carbon air-box and several additional modifications, the V10 attains a performance output of 650 Horse Power. The performance of the brute acoustics of the exhaust system, whose loudness can be regulated using a valve control system, can be specifically underscored. With valves open, the V10 roars out loud and unrestrained, the full extent of its performance capacity and sets sheer fire on the road surface.
The complete interior of the super sportscar is covered in real leather in carbon looks combined with high-grade Alcantara. Centre console, instrument panel, door sheathing or roof liner, you name it; all surfaces are covered with Alcantara or smooth leather in a complex process. Moreover: Different vehicles of the luxury category (Audi R8, Lamborghini Gallardo, Bentley Continental GT, etc.) can also be purchased directly from XXX-Performance as new vehicles and individually transformed at the same time.
