Gav is back
Thanks for the creation of the topic and thanks for all who said good words and those who did not. I was surprised to see anyone noticing me.
I was on vacation to Europe for 3 weeks. One of the car-related things that happened was that I met with the owners and top editors of the top magazine in Greece. You can find it here:
www.4troxoi.gr
They were nice enough to give me a tour of their offices and basically answer all questions I had about how they do what they do. I took video of that..."interview", but it's in Greek. Next time I am there, they promised to take me to the "testing grounds" (for a day). Filming that would be very cool.
All of the above happened in Athens.
I spent 5 days in Rhodes (a very nice Greek island - http://www.rhodes.gr ) where other than seeing the USA team winning the World Beach Volleyball Championship, I also met with a guy who's car will be on Max Power mag. It is a Renault Megane which right now has body-kit and stereo work done, but in a month it will be a 2 liter, turboed and nitro-oxided, 400HP monster, plus A LOT more body work. All that will be done by Max Power (on their dime that is) and they will take that car AND the guy to a world tour (expos, etc). I took video of how the car looks today.
I dont know much about stereos but the guy had FOUR 12 inch sub-woofers in the back with 2 seperate amps powering those subs only. I know that's not the most impressive thing in the world, but for a guy off of a small Greek island, it is interesting.
I will post video of that car soon. I am starting work tomorrow so be patient.
By the way, I was on vacation to Greece, not there for anything automobile related.
More auto news threads in this part of the forum, soon to come I need to catch up myself. By the way, reading the latest MotorTrend mag, the TSX did a 16.0 on the 1/4 mile and the XLR did a 14.4.

So I get back and after using my "main" laptop for 5 minutes, it dies on me. Turns out, the heat sink fan is dead and so it dies after it overheats. Have it on ice for now.... Will be getting a new mobo by Friday (work pays). It's a hassle because all my bookmakrs are there.
