Dealer told me that my car is being built on October 13 (Monday). When should I be able to get my VIN and know for sure when it'll arrive at the dealer, given that information?

I believe that once the car is built the factory assigns the VIN and it should be available to the dealer. There should then also be an ETA for delivery.

A build date of October 13 means it will be built during that week (13th-17th), so there be a VIN by the 17th.

My understanding is the dealer is given a build date as a range of dates. For example, my build date was 9/30 - 10/4. In theory, your car would likely be build in the middle of the range. Dealers then generally add two weeks from that date to guesstimate delivery date.
Once the VIN is available to the dealers, however, I believe it comes with a more accurate e.t.a.. In my case, I rec'd my VIN a couple of days ago with a delivery date of 10/16.

By the way, mine is DMM/Parch/5AT/Navi... VIN shows production number 3033.
