What's to come of the TL

I know it is early, but any speculators have foresight to what they believe may become additions or changes to the TL for the 05 release. In 2-3 years might we see a type-s? Will the auto ever receive brembros and LSD? Can Shaggy save Scooby Doo? Can the dynamic duo stop Jokers evil plans...............?

A few color changes and maybe Onstar again if they renew their contract agreement. I doubt there will be a Type S model since Acura is fazing out that title, plus the 04 TL is already Type S spec. A lot of depends on what new the RL has available as to what will happen with the TL in the future too.

I will guess Acura comes out with an all-wheel drive version for the 2006 model year with Brembos on the 5AT like Infiniti did with the G35 this year.

My dream would be an Acura TL cabriolet, but I don't think Acura has the b**ls to do that. I think it would look awesome though. Could someone post a Photoshop of the TL cabrio to confirm my suspicions

The "safe and sound" package is about $200/year. That includes the stolen car tracking, 911 notification if air bag deploys, door unlocking, etc.

Then its not for you....

Most people that have onstar like it and appreciate its benefits.

the advantage of onstar is if you are in an accident and are unconscious you can't use your cell phone or if you are in a place where you are out of cell range. An alarm is fine but once your car is stolen your alarm can't track its location...onstar can. Also onstar can unlock your car if you lock yourself out. I've had it for 2 years for my wife and never used it. However, it's nice to know if she had an emergency, it would be available. It's not for everybody...but.

You can't plan for everything. These seem like rare instances and you could plan forever to cover all details. The ost is significant and on top of other bills it just woulen't be reasonable in my case. Not even offered so I guess there is no point in arguing. Besides I don't like other people being able to unlock my door

Acura Salesman
Er, yes. And allow me to hand over $800 for paint protection too please.

I swear to god, if I hear another salesman on the end of a phone saying "I've got GREAT news...have you got a pencil? Do you want to make a time for an appointment, or why not come down RIGHT NOW?" Do the guys who come up with the scripts really think I don't have a brain?

End of rant. No offense intended, BradW. I'm sure not all salesmen are sperm of the devil. But thus far I've only met one or two where I didn't need to be deloused afterwards...

Just call me grumpy.
