Remember, on the old site, SCMav07 was giving some advance news/rumors about the TL, and he said there was also going to be this secret additional feature that was going to be so cool? We had a whole thing about it. He said he was sworn to secrecy and he'd be risking his Honda job if he revealed it. After a while he said that if we guessed it, he'd confirm it, but then he said that he only said that because he knew nobody would guess it. We were double and triple teaming him, we were tag-teaming him, we were piling on, we were gang-banging him, however you want to put it, until Prov made us cool it.

I don't think this was ever "officially" resolved. Does anyone know what he was talking about?

Probably it was the Bluetooth. The only thing is, people WERE guessing Bluetooth and SCMav never said anything about it. But...... after being extremely active on that board up till that time, he totally disappeared basically as soon as people started guessing Bluetooth.

By the way: SPUDMTN was the first to guess it. (I think it was his first post.) Others immediately agreed it was a great guess. And SCMav disappeared.

Oh no not that thread again. All I remember about it is getting b*tched out for having the nerve to speculate on the price of the new TL and being a newbie at the same time. Oh, the horror! Oh well, I was closer than most who guessed for what it's worth.

Back on topic.....
If SCMav was referring to Bluetooth, it's kind of funny he didn't know that info had already released to the press along with DVD 5.1 Audio. I honestly remember reading about both of those things at least 5 or 6 months ago, long before anything else was known about the car.

I bet he was referring to the solar sensing function of the climate control in navi-equipped cars. He said is was something that was unique to the 04 TL and no other car, and I don't know of any other car that has that feature (besides the 04 Accord)...

I always wondered why he started that thread, posted fairly frequently, and then abruptly dropped off the face of the earth. Methinks the powers that be in Torrance figured out that he was posting and silenced him.
