Wetterauer Performance: M4 WP620 (based on BMW M4) News
Press release...
Wetterauer and the BMW M4. Both look back on a long, successful history. This company, with a new a new head office in Munich whose roots are in performance enhancement through optimized software, has been helping its customers get peak performance from their vehicles for more than twenty years now. The M4 sport coupé, as well as its predecessors bearing the M3 title, have for the past thirty years been the most popular and best known model in the portfolio of the BMW M GmbH, which of course also met with great enthusiasm from the tuning scene. Now both sides are meeting up in a fascinating car that combines the best of both worlds: the WP620.
As far as engine performance is concerned, the M4 is primed for plenty of driving fun right off the line, thanks to its twin-turbo straight six cylinder engine with at least 431 HP and 550 Nm. Nevertheless, Wetterauer has managed to further optimize the sports car in every respect with targeted improvements. Thanks to the Wetterauer Performance upgrade turbocharger with larger turbine and compressor wheels, the M4 reaches a powerful 620 HP and up to 760 Nm of torque to match its new name. Thus it goes from 0 to 100 km/h in only 3.6 seconds and its top speed is 330 km/h. In addition, the Wetterauer Performance coupé has an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system along with optimized downpipes, a Wetterauer high-performance transmission software, as well as the Wetterauer Performance burble on overrun.
The looks of the WP620 also set it clearly apart from its mass-produced fellows. On the trunk lid of the M4, Wetterauer mounts a fixed rear spoiler that gives it an exciting look and an aerodynamic advantage at the same time. When it comes to color, it stands out with its black paint job just as harmoniously from the Austin yellow body as do the trim, the Performance front spoiler and splitter, and the new set of wheels: the WP620 stands on 20” OZ Ultraleggera rims.
