Saw a Passat CC yesterday
I was driving on Irving Park Road near O'Hare towards the suburbs when I saw it pulled over in the opposing lane because of an apparent flat tire. It looked prettty good.

UK Pricing for the VW Passat CC Announced
Info a la VW UK...
Volkswagen UK has announced the pricing for the new Passat CC with the entry level 1.8-litre TSI with 160 horsepower starting at £21,040 rising to £31,120 for the top of the line 3.6-litre V6 pumping out 300 horspower.
The CC will be offered with two trim levels: the standard model or the GT. The standard will come with 17” ‘Phoenix’ alloy wheels, 2Zone Climatronic air conditioning, touchscreen CD stereo system with six-disc autochanger, six-way electrically adjustable sports seats, a multifunction leather steering wheel, six airbags and ESP. The additional extras on the GT model include 18” ‘Interlagos’ alloy wheels, ‘silversprint’ upholstery, tinted windows, front foglights and Adaptive Chassis Control (ACC).
With the Passat CC, VW is entering into a new market which was previously monopolised by the Mercedes CLS and will give consumers a non premium option in the 4-door coupe segment.

VW Passat R36 Styling Study in Worthersee
From WCF...
The Passat R36 Variant Styling Study by Volkswagen Individual remains the same besides a “few” modest improvements such as a 20mm lowered suspension, 20-inch wheels from the Touareg R-Line, 6 piston Brembo brake calipers, sounds optimized exhaust system with 81mm in diameter aluminum exhaust tips with beveled edges. For the exterior all chrome trim has been removed and replaced with matching dark blue trim. The interior has received Recaro race seats in the front with matching two-tone rear bench, steering wheel and shift boot plus miscellaneous dark blue and chrome applications.

From all angles, the current Passat, IMHO, is one of the most underrated cars on American roads currently. This is a very complete sedan that few know about and it's priced very fairly. The 2.0T is sufficient and with 800 dollars, the dealer can give you another 40-50HP, waranteed. Very, very good package overall.

Volkswagen debuts Passat CC Gold Coast Edition
Volkswagen unveiled a special edition of its new Passat CC sedan last weekend at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Dubbed the Gold Coast Edition, this special edition Passat CC will include a number of unique features when it arrives in showrooms later this year.
A unique body kit, “Pepe Pepper” paint by DuPont (a mix of gold, brown and silver tones), 19 inch wheels and a “Latte Macchiato” and “Cornsilk” (VW’s names) interior leather scheme set the Gold Coast Edition apart from other Passat CCs. Though no word was available on pricing, the CC is expected to be the top model on offer initially. The Passat CC starts under $27,000 and the Gold Coast Edition will feature a 3.6-liter TFSI six-cylinder engine and VW’s DSG transmission.
