Yellow one def. has SLK in it, and the rear has the eclipse-esque taillights like zeroday posted..I like the look of this one:
Now only if it didn't have the shape of a chick car and more shape like the sketch, it would be nice.

about time something new comes out...
maybe they wanted to wait for the new IS to establish itself to some level against Infiniti and BMW, so now they can release something to compete with a G35 coupe that type or in that RWD coupe segment...
i bet a IS coupe will come out based on this new supra similar to how the g35 coupe is based on the 350z...

Nevermind, it's back up. So here are some backup links if it goes down again:

I like it but I need to get a better feel for proportion since as it appears to me it has a little to much GT feel.
I still wonder if the Japanese will be able to sell cars at the price point the GT-r and this will be at. Sure there are tons of people that will lust after them (like the NSX) but has the import crowd obtained big enough wallets to cover the freight. The last Supras are legendary but they weren't a finacial success, thus the reason there was no 2005 Supra.

Get rid of some of the luxury to lighten it up a bit, and it might be a winner...

I hope to god that this is the Celica/MR2 replacement's high end version or the next gen SC cause a hardtop convertible, while slick, is just not gonna be as good to drive as a true coupe. Toyota can probably pull it off, but I don't understand why they would.

Front is weak, no clear focal point, especially the Mazda-open grille/air dam + G35 bisecting lower air dams. Pick one and stick with it.
Rear is attractive, but in a generic way.

hail to the victors
didn't g35 coupe/Z came out 4 years ago? if they are redesigning a brand spankin new supra, i expect it to look much better than a current g35/z. but that one is not.

According to the report, Toyota's new 2-seater will "displace the Nissan 350Z as Japan's most popular sports car." The car is rumored to come with the choice of a 450 hp V8 or a 3.5-liter V6. Pricing will range from $40,000 to $50,000, so it's unclear how it will compete with the 350Z. It's also unclear how the Lexus LF-A will relate to this project. R&T says to expect a new Supra in October 2007.

I think any rebirth of the Supra will underwhelm those in the Supra community. Numbers may sound good on paper but you're right ... 'tuners want to hear and feel of turbo power. But I doubt Toyota will build that out of the factory (due to its cost and we know Toyota only worries about how much profit they will make from it).
But the CGIs so far ... If it weren't coming out so late (relative to my purchasing itinerary), this would definitely be on my list as a daily driver.

I hope that front grille is not final!

Burn some dust here
Sounds good. Have to wait until the final specs/prices are released but Toyota will have a winner if they keep the Supra in that range for both models.

same goes for:
NSX
RX7
I have been saying this for years... stop with the CGI 'concept' drawings... build it or shutup already.
