I saw it twice this past Saturday on ESPN during the Virginia Tech - Syracuse game. It is a cool commerical, I had to pull the wife into the room on the second showing so she could check it out.

OT, why did ESPN stick with that stinker of a blow-out instead of showing the Miami - FS game?

I can't see the ad anywhere, been looking for it. I guess I don't watch enough TV. If only someone would upload it....or if Acura would take a page from Apple and post their TV ads on their web site.

I saw the TL commercial where it is making its own highway, and the announcer says, its on its own..

I think its a lot better commercial than what Acura used to do for the 2nd Gen TL..

It Looked Kinda COOL!

I just saw a TL commercial in Canada the other day. BTW stopped in at Acura 2000 Sunday as they had one sitting out front. My wife and I just looked at eachother and we were both thinking "We should have waited" It looks awesone in person, very smallish. I honestly think I'll be in a TL in a couple of years.

To be honest, I drove it... and I agree. For the price, the TL is a much better deal than the TSX, imho... TSX should be at about $32k cdn. Frankly, I wouldnt want a TL at my age- it's too large of a car (I think the TSX is perfect, if not on the big side) and even owning a TSX is amazing as it is... Id rather wait till I need the TL in terms of size, status, and power before i'd consider switching.

Oh ya, I really want to see the commercial domn. Upload it!

Domn, sorry to hear that, the TSX is a great car, and sweet to drive, I am still on the fence on the TSX / TL even though I have the TL Wife insisted on the extra interior space and an auto, not sure if I could have done the TSX in auto though, so I guess the TL was the only choice? Note, it is not that I hate the TL, it is just the TSX is such a great car, and I could have used the extra $$ in my pocket

Nothing to be sorry for I really love my TSX but my only problem with the car is the fact that its lacks some power. I knew that going in and decided it would be fine and still is fine. But the TL would have been perfect in that rergard. Before I bought the TSX I decided that I wanted V6 power after driving nothing but Honda 4 bangers since I was 21 and only 4 cylinders since I was 16. I was leaning heavily toward a Accord Sedan EX V6. The only reason we did''nt buy that car was because of the rear end. Now that the TL looks so damn good I'm wondering if I should have waited. But then again I'm happy that I have the 6-7K in my pocket. Like I just wrote in another thread, I will never test drive a TL as long as I plan on keeping the TSX. For now the aftermarket will have to make up for that lost power.

In power delivery or handling or both. There's no way 270HP can feel like your mom's car.

It did. It definately felt larger than the TSX, and the engine was much more substantial... I always felt that the 99 TL's engine felt very light, and 'tinny' with tons of force... This one feels much more solid, and the car hugs the road as the power is put to the wheels...

But the TSX handles better- noticably- it's much more responsive and quicker to jump on the turns. And the ride in the TL is softer than that of the TSX- you dont feel the road, you dont feel the bumps. And the TSX interior is much less confusing. And to be honest- I expected more out of the TL engine... (maybe cause i test drove a 5at?)

But I prefer the TL gagues. And I prefer the TL's interior from a design perspective. And I think the front and rear of the TL is much nicer than the TSXs. And, no matter how much I contest this, the v6 makes a huge, huge difference.

But I still walked away saying "You know what, its a great car.... but its not for me."

I think we can chalk that up to you being younger and still in school. Give it a few years and you may not feel the same way. I can't comment on the TL's ride but I can say the TSX stiffness is sometimes welcome and sometimes not so welcomed. I sometimes feel like driving agressively and love feeling every bump in the road. There are other times when I feel like being cushioned on my way home and the TSX does'nt nessesararly cushion you. It can become tiresome feeling and hearing every little road imperfection. I wonder if the TL is the best of both worlds in that regard.

You'll only know forsure if you take it for a spin.

I'm sure Paul or Gianfranco at Acura 2000 would be more than happy to let you take a ride.

And remember.... You can always get the 2009 TL.

I won't do it, its simply too risky.

There are two other factors, that I think would in the end turn me away from the TL.

1- Most likely higher insurance premiums.
2- Higher gas costs

I paid $46.00 this morning to put in 55L of fuel in my TSX. I'd imagine that would be about $50.00 a week for the TL. Then again having 270 HP would probly make up for it.

55L = 14.6 US Gallons

14.6 X 3.00CAD = $43.80

I actually paid about $3.15 CAD for 1 US Gallon

1.65US is actually about 2.25CAD. So ya we're still paying too much.
