'tis strange indeed

That last sentence makes me go

Bah, forget it. It's just an automobile magazine article that says there will be a Type-S that is powered by a 260 (not 270) hp engine for the 04 TL

I think we got confirmation on 270, but things seem to change daily.

'tis bad information, indeed.

I noticed those numbers, too...I'd guess that they really didn't know when they put those numbers down. That issue was printed some time ago, and I know that they generally write up the material at least a month in advance (probably even earlier, for all I know).

Not that strange really, this article was probably written 2-3 months ago. They knew it would come out before the embargo was lifted, so they SWAG's it.

Motor Trend and Automobile also stated that the TL would have 2 models and engines too. You think they'd look to get some inside informant before they print stuff like that. Makes you look really credible when you print incorrect data that people have known about for 6 weeks.
