TechArt: GrandGT (based on Porsche Panamera) News

Press release...

Based on the Porsche Panamera, the TECHART GrandGT combines all of the features, for which TECHART is known, into one program - exceptional sportiness in combination with unique comfort. The masculine and extravagant level of the Panamera individualization will celebrate its world premiere at the Auto Zurich Car Show from November 11 to 14, 2010.

Exceptional Character – Visible and Invisible

Original TECHART programs have always stood for highest quality. This fundamental principle has been incorporated in TECHART’s new exterior package for the Panamera without any compromises. The consistent and intelligent use of selected high-tech materials and a unique style of design ensure that the TECHART GrandGT leverages its exceptional character.

Hidden Qualities: The Material

GT – uniquely sporty, which is embodied by the program not only in design. The GrandGT internalizes it as well. The exterior package consists of a fiber-reinforced composite based on carbon, glass-fiber-reinforced plastic and polyurethane RIM components. These materials are primarily used in motor sports and are distinguished by their extraordinary product characteristics. The exterior components of the TECHART GrandGT program are remarkable, among other things, thanks to an impressive dimensional stability, great strength and low intrinsic weight.

Impressive Appearance: The Design

The TECHART GrandGT favors a spectacular performance. The TECHART-typical exterior design catches the eye of onlookers immediately. The powerful front bumper with integrated splitter and large ventilation intakes, for an improved supply of fresh air to the intercooler and an optimum cooling of the brake system, flawlessly underlines the dynamic contours. TECHART-typical: the sporty four-seater’s suitability for everyday use. The multifunctional daytime running lights that are integrated in the front bumper give the Panamera not only a distinctive appearance. It combines daytime running lights, position lights, parking lights and turn signals as LED system unit in a common housing and integrates seamlessly in the design of the Panamera’s front. An additional design highlight is the TECHART Aero engine hood that is constructed of high-quality carbon fibers, with integrated air outlets for an optimized regulation of the heat balance in the engine compartment and which impressively completes the GrandGT program for the Panamera’s front end.

Powerful side skirts and flared fenders increase the width of the Panamera by 21mm on each side of the front axle compared to the standard vehicle and 42mm on each side of the rear axle, resulting in a wider track and thus improved cornering abilities. Typical TECHART: attention to detail. Headlight trims or trim slats for the side air outlets made of high-quality polyurethane RIM set elegant highlights on the side of the vehicle in individual colour combinations and emphasize the dynamic appearance of the GrandGT.

The design of the rear end incorporates the front’s design and emphasizes the unique character of the GrandGT – sporty, confident and masculine. In combination with the TECHART roof spoiler, the much larger rear spoiler compared to the first Panamera Program, results in even less lift at the rear axle and greater driving stability and active safety – even at high speed. An additional GrandGT design feature: the distinctive rear apron with integrated air openings and matching diffuser. The oval dual tail pipes of TECHART’s sporty exhaust system, which are fully integrated in the vehicle’s rear end, optimally complete the exterior tuning package. As an alternative, a sporty exhaust system with valve control can be selected – for audible more sportiness.

Exceptional Sportiness: The Performance

Taking a look under the Aero-engine hood, the GrandGT is still impressive. The TECHART Engine styling package consisting of carbon fiber cylinder-head covers with an embossed TECHART logotype as well as accentuating highlights in flash red is demonstrating the power of the car already in standstill. The TECHART powerkit TA 070/T1 boosts the power output oft the 4.8 l twin-turbo engine from 368 kW to 426 kW. The generated torque increases from 700 Nm to powerful 830 Nm. Pushing the standard sport button the Panamera has a significant increase of performance and driving dynamics. The TECHART engine management TECHTRONIC comes up with a number of impressive product features. The intelligent electronic power management convinces with quick and easy installation as well as maintaining the electronic engine protection features and the vehicle diagnostics and servicing. Like every factory-new TECHART product, the high quality standard of the TECHART powerkit is backed by a two-year limited warranty. Furthermore TECHART grants an additional warranty on damages at engine or gearbox if caused by the TECHART powerkit.

Consistent design and inimitable style – this also applies to the original TECHART wheels. No matter which of the three wheel designs the customer will choose, besides attractive standard colour variants, all TECHART wheels are available in individually matched custom colours. For the TECHART GrandGT Program the TECHART Formula light alloy wheels are available in 20- and 21-inch, the TECHART Formula II design in 22-inch and the TECHART Formula III forged light alloy wheels in 21- and 22-inch.

Unique Comfort – The Interior

The passion for perfection and the use of high-quality materials form the focal point of interior individualization of the TECHART GrandGT based on the Porsche Panamera. TECHART interiors are distinguished by exceptional quality. Ranging from setting fine accents such as decorative stitching in custom colour or parts in fine wood trim through to unique interior packages refined in all details, care and precision in the workmanship provided by the TECHART in-house manufactory are unique.

TECHART guarantees a great ride at all four seats thanks to the wide variety of entertainment options available for the Panamera. For instance, TECHART offers, among other things, an entertainment package with two 7-inch screens that are seamlessly integrated in the design of the front seat backrests, incorporated in a high-quality leather screen console matching the colour of the vehicle’s interior, for entertainment in the rear passenger compartment of the four-seater. A highlight for the Panamera: the TECHART center console unit for adding a 12V outlet and integrated cupholder to the storage compartment located in the rear passenger compartment. Exclusively available for the Panamera: TECHART rear fold-away tables. Thanks to rugged mechanisms and high-quality materials, the fold-away tables can be used, on the one hand, as a mobile work space for when on the road and as a personal area for relaxing when on long trips.

Premiere in Zurich and Essen

The TECHART GrandGT Program as well as the new TECHART MAGNUM will be presented in November. From the 11. to the 14. November 201 the Auto Zurich Car Show will be the location of the world premiere. The Germany premiere of both individualization programs will be the Essen Motor Show from the 27. November to the 5. December 2010.

Much better looking than I thought it would be. The front looks mean.

Every time I hear "Panamera" I think of that damn blue and yellow Mansory version

This car has great 3/4 lines. It's the side that kills it.

white looks shitty on the panamera. as mentioned, the 3/4 angles look great, and the side profile, not so much. its mostly in part to the rear render flares / beltine that takes away from the "humpback". a rear 3/4 view looks aggressive. however, when you view the car from the side, the depth of the flares arent noticeable, and it looks like one big chunk of sheetmetal above the rear wheels.

that said, darker colors have more shadow/reflectivity play; so, on a black panamera, the sideview still maintains the depth of the fender flares, and makes the humpback forgivable. this car looks much better in black/dark blue, and terrible in white.

Definitely looks better in person. Neighbor has the Turbo in Carrara White. Definitely wouldn't kick it out of bed.

Kanye West was rocking a black Turbo until his cousin wrapped it around the neighbor's garage down the street from me LOL. Dumbass. Kanye was out of town testifying in the Suge case.

Post 2013 TechArt Porsche Panamera Turbo GrandGT

Press release...

TECHART Automobildesign presented its interpretation of the Porsche Panamera model at the 83rd Geneva Motor Show from March 5th to 17th 2013. The 630 HP GrandGT, which is based on the Porsche Panamera Turbo, extracts the purest TECHART DNA from Porsche's premium saloon. With special space grey paint, a customised black TECHART leather interior and TECHART 22-inch Formula III forged wheels in gloss black with a red rim, the TECHART GrandGT based on the Porsche Panamera Turbo presents itself to the world.

Design.

The TECHART aerodynamics package for the Porsche Panamera fulfils requirements for the three, equally important, core elements: stability, aerodynamics and design. The exterior package, made from a lightweight fibre composite of carbon and polyurethane RIM, is distinguished by its product features: these are predominantly for use in motor sports, where they can express their high levels of load-bearing capacity and dimensional stability with a low tare weight.

The low front spoiler, with integrated front splitter and large air inlets, guarantees an even and improved flow to the intercoolers and brakes. The TECHART aero engine hood, made from weight-reduced carbon fibre with additional air outlets, improves the heat balance in the engine compartment and gives the 4.8 I V8 bi-turbo engine enough oxygen to breathe. Side skirts and wheel arch extensions give the TECHART GrandGT a total of 42 extra millimetres on the front and 84 millimetres on the rear axis over the series model, thus generating a wider track and enhanced driving dynamics. The synthesis of the TECHART rear wing and roof spoiler ensures reduced lift on the rear axis and increased running stability and safety, especially at high speeds. The TECHART rear apron, with integrated air inlets and a diffuser, improves the aero dynamics and generates additional downforce for increased traction.

The TECHART GrandGT, which is based on the Porsche Panamera Turbo, is already providing design highlights. The multifunctional daytime running lights system, which is integrated into the front spoiler, does not just lend the saloon a striking exterior; it also combines daytime running lights, navigation lights, parking lights and indicators as an LED system unit in one casing. The decorative trims on the bi-xenon headlights, available in different colour combinations, together with the trim bars on the side air outlets, made from high-quality PU RIM material, represent additional elegant design elements. The twin TECHART sport exhaust system with stainless steel exhaust pipes in a double-oval design represents a visual as well as a clear acoustic statement. Customers can also order the TECHART sport exhaust system with integrated valve control – for a noticeable increase in sportiness.

Proven and tested TECHART design continues in the original TECHART wheels for the Porsche Panamera. It doesn't matter which of the three wheel designs the customer chooses; besides attractive standard colour variations, all wheels can be individually customised to suit the vehicle in question. For the Porsche Panamera models, the TECHART Formula light-alloy wheel is available in 20 and 21 inches, the TECHART Formula II light-alloy wheel in 22 inches, the TECHART Formula II GTR light-alloy wheel in bi-colour in 20 to 22 inches, and the TECHART Formula III forged wheel in 21 and 22 inches.

Performance.

The TECHART range for Porsche Panamera models knows how to impress when it comes to looking under the TECHART aero engine hood too. The TECHART engine styling package with carbon fibre cylinder head covers, TECHART badges and flash red accents demonstrates the power of the vehicle before the engine is even switched on. Activated via the series-standard sport button on the central console, the finely-tuned TECHTRONIC engine management system, together with the performance kit TA 070/T2, allows the overall power of the 4.8 l bi-turbo motor to be increased from 368 to 464 kW (500 to 630 horsepower), the maximum torque from 700 to 880 Nm, and the maximum speed to 330 km/h. The intelligent control technology, which is quick and easy to install, impresses with its fully electronic protective functions and the vehicle's service and diagnostic capabilities which remain complete. The clear demand that TECHART has for original equipment quality is expressed through a guarantee for engine and transmission defects in line with the TECHTRONIC guarantee conditions, as well as the two-year warranty.

Interior.

TECHART's in-house manufacturing sees to it that the silver stitching, and the carbon graphite and piano paint interior styling packages perfectly match the TECHART full-leather trim, which is exclusively available in black with the edges of the front seats and door rims in red. Thus the accents on the car's exterior are directly incorporated. Typical TECHART: The multifunctional sport steering wheel with TECHART shift paddles. Numerous entertainment options in the TECHART-refined Porsche Panamera models mean that the thrill of the road is not just limited to the driver's experience. For example, the TECHART W2 entertainment package with two 7-inch screens seamlessly integrated into the backrest of the front seats provides entertainment in the back of the four-seater vehicle. Both flat-screens are mounted in high-quality leather consoles. The TECHART central console unit, which increases storage space in the back and features a 12-volt plug and an integrated cupholder, can also be ordered for the benefit of passengers in Panamera models. Exclusive matching TECHART rear tables are also available. Thanks to the stable mechanics and high-quality materials used, these foldaway tables serve both as space to work and as a personal relaxation zone on long journeys.

Post 2014 TechArt Porsche Panamera Turbo GrandGT

Press release...

TECHART Automobildesign presents its interpretation of the new Porsche Panamera models from September 12 to 22 2013 at 65th Frankfurt International Motor Show for the first time ever. The TECHART GrandGT based on Porsche Panamera Turbo extracts the purest TECHART DNA from Porsche’s premium limousine. TECHART Carbon Interior Kits in new copper-colour aligns to the black leather interior with white decorative stitching. The high gloss black TECHART 22-inch Formula III forged wheels, covering the brake calipers in copper-colour, do complete the interplay of colours of the white TECHART GrandGT.

Design.

The TECHART Aerodynamic Kit for the new Porsche Panamera models fulfils requirements for three core elements: stability, aerodynamics and design. The exterior package, made from a lightweight fibre composite of carbon and polyurethane RIM, is distinguished by product features that are predominantly for use in motor sports where they can express their high levels of load-bearing capacity and dimensional stability with a low tare weight.

The TECHART Front Apron with integrated splitter and large ventilation intakes guarantees an even and improved air flow to the intercoolers and brakes. The TECHART Multifunctional Daytime Running Light System combines daytime running lights, navigations lights, parking lights and indicators as an LED system unit in one casing. The carbon fibre TECHART Aero Engine Hood with additional air outlets improves the heat balance in the engine compartment and supplies the 4.8 l V8 Bi-Turbo engine with sufficient oxygen to breath.

TECHART Side Skirts and wheel arch extensions give the new TECHART GrandGT a total of 42 mm at front and 84 mm at rear over the series model, thus generating a wider track and enhanced driving dynamics. TECHART Headlamp Trims and TECHART Trim Slats for side air outlets represent elegant design elements. The TECHART Rear Spoiler III and the TECHART Roof Spoiler ensure reduced lift on the rear axis and increased running stability and safety, especially at high speeds. The TECHART Rear Apron with air vents and diffuser complete the aerodynamic kit TECHART GrandGT for the new Porsche Panamera models.

The TECHART Exhaust System Sport with dual oval tube TECHART Sport tailpipes in stainless steel represents not only a visual, but also an acoustic statement. The customer can order the TECHART Exhaust System with integrated valve-control, too – for a noticeable increase in sportiness.
TECHART Design continues in the original TECHART Wheel Program for Porsche Panamera models. Besides attractive standard colour variations, all wheels can be individually customized to suit the vehicle in question. For the Porsche Panamera models the TECHART Formula light-alloy wheel in 20- and 21-inch, the TECHART Formula II light-alloy wheel in 22-inch, the TECHART Formula II GTR light-alloy wheel in bi-colour finish in 20- to 22-inch, and the TECHART Formula III forged wheel in 21- and 22-inch is available.

Also planned for the Porsche Panamera models is the new TECHART Formula IV light-alloy wheel in 5-twin-spoke design in 22-inch.

Performance.

TECHART Automobildesign currently develops a Power Kit for the new Porsche Panamera Turbo. It is based on the intelligent TECHART engine management system TECHTRONIC and will increase the overall power output of the new Porsche Panamera Turbo to expected 580 hp.

TECHART TECHTRONIC Engine Management:
• significant increase of performance and driving dynamics
• activation by pushing the Sport button at the centre console
• quick and easy installation, trouble-free deinstallation at any time
• intelligent electronic power management
• highest material quality and fulfilment of OEM specifications
• does not affect vehicle diagnostics or servicing
• does not affect electronic engine protection features

Like every factory-new TECHART product, the high quality standards of the TECHART Power Kits are backed by a two-year limited warranty. But more than that, TECHART grants an additional warranty on damages at engine or gearbox according to TECHART TECHTRONIC Warranty Terms.
The TECHART Engine Styling Package with carbon fibre cylinder-head covers, embossed TECHART logotype and accentuating highlights in flash red demonstrates the vehicle’s power before the engine is switched on.

Interior.

The TECHART in-house saddlery aligns decorative stitching, painted trims and panels as well as surfaces precisely to the TECHART Leather Interior of the new TECHART GrandGT based on Porsche Panamera Turbo. In-house produced TECHART Carbon Interior Kits in new attractive colours fit seamlessly into the interior by incorporating exterior design highlights of the vehicle. The ergonomically shaped TECHART 3-spokes Multifunctional Sports Steering Wheel with TECHART Paddle Shifters offers various design possibilities in regards to colours or surface materials. Leather, carbon fibre or black high gloss paint can be chosen by the customer. Entertainment options in the Porsche Panamera models, refined by TECHART, do not limit the thrill of the road to the driver’s experience. Thus the TECHART Entertainment Kit W2 with two 7-inch displays, seamlessly integrated into the backrests of the front seats, provides entertainment in the back of the four-seater vehicle. Both screens are mounted in high-quality leather consoles. The TECHART Rear Centre Console Unit, which increases storage space in the back and features a 12-volt plug and integrated cup holders, can be ordered for the benefit of passengers in the Porsche Panamera models. A matching TECHART Rear Fold-Away Table is also available. Thanks to the stable mechanics and high-quality materials, this fold-away table serves both as space to work and as personal relaxing zone on long journeys.

Post 2021 TechArt Grand GT

From here: https://www.supercars.net/blog/techart-grandgt/

TECHART has been known for some of the most impressive Porsche modifications we’ve ever seen, and now they’ve released their GrandGT into the wild, based on the Porsche 971 series, better known as the Panamera and Panamera Sport Turismo, the TECHART GrandGT comes with a significantly modified exterior, custom made interior, and more importantly, a massive power boost.

If your base Porsche is the Panamera GTS version, TECHART will boost power by no less than 180 hp and 150 Nm of torque, on the Porsche Panamera Turbo S the increase is still 90 hp and 130 Nm of torque. This boils down to a healthy 660 hp in the GTS edition, while the Turbo S goes up to a massive 720 hp, in the latter this offers acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds flat, reaching 200 km/h only takes 10,5 seconds while the Panamera Turbo S GrandGT runs out of breath at 315 km/h … that’s Ferrari and Lamborghini territory, in a four-door, four-seat GT car.

With that much power available, we wouldn’t be looking at a TECHART GrandGT if she didn’t come with some serious body modifications too, so for starters, you’ll get a new front bumper that completely replaces the factory unit and flows neatly into a set of wheel arch extensions and wider side skirts, we’re talking about adding 50mm (2 inches) width to the front and 80mm (3.15 inch) at the rear.

And the fun continues at the rear with a new bumper at the back too, with air vents behind the wheels, vertical fins for stability, and a quartet of titanium carbon-fiber tip exhausts, two on either side, for that thundering sound from the tuned Porsche engine at the front. And we’ve saved the best for last … how about a lightweight, carbon-fiber replacement front hood in a new design with an impressive power dome and functional air vents? You can order this front hood in either glossy or satin-finished carbon-fiber, or painted to match the rest of your TECHART GrandGT.

With a body style as aggressive as this, you need a set of matching wheels, and to make the choice even harder, TECHART has come up with three different styles, all in massive 22 inch, to cover the large disk brakes. Also, note TECHART can change the color of the massive calipers into any shade you might desire, either to match the wheels or to contrast them even more, and just in case three different wheel styles isn’t enough, you can opt to have these wheel painted to match anything you like, or go for a diamond polish rim even.

But probably the most striking design comes with the TECHART Daytona II wheel, an evolution of the classic TECHART wheel, it has been engineered in modern forging technologies. Tires come in 285/30 ZR 22 at the front and 335/25 ZR 22 at the rear, it doesn’t get much wider than these on a road-going car.

And that’s only the exterior, let’s take a look at the interior inside this imposing black TECHART GrandGT, with their in-house saddlery, TECHART can create just about any bespoke look for the luxurious interior of the Porsche Panamera by using smooth leather, perforated leather, and Alcantara in a stunning combination.

A really impressive look is achieved by the meticulous perforation executed on leather parts of the seats, doors, dashboard, and the steering wheel, by using a contrasting color underneath this perforated design you get a kind of ‘glimmer’ effect, the shade is visible through the perforation in a very special way, making it look almost magical. The pattern for this perforation can be bespoke for the client, which could make for some really amazing designs in the future.

Naturally, you can also go down the more classic route of contrasting stitching, special piping on the seats, central console, doors, and dashboard, or go for color matching trim around the personalized floor mats, both for the front, the rear, and even inside the trunk … just to make sure you know you are driving in a bespoke TECHART build, their logo gets embossed on the door panels, in the floor mats, while both front and rear seats get a TECHART logo embroidered on the headrests, preferably in a contrasting color.

A completely custom-made steering wheel is on your request list? No problem at all for TECHART, a bespoke ‘driving mode’ switch, for instance, color-matched painted sections, perforated leather with that ‘glimmer’ look combined with Alcantara, a splash of carbon-fiber, contrasting stitches … everything is possible from TECHART, and the factory original items like multifunction buttons, paddle shifters, and even the steering wheel heating are kept fully functional for your comfort.

If you really want a Porsche Panamera you don’t see on every corner of the street (in some regions), you should get in touch with TECHART and have them build a bespoke GrandGT just for you …
