Powerful engine tuning and exclusive accessories that leave nothing to be desired: TechArt Automobildesignalso offers an extensive customization program for the new 997-series models Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and 4S.

TechArt also provides engine tuning for both water-cooled six-cylinder engines of the Carrera 4 and Carrera 4S, coupe or cabriolet. The TechArt power kits TA 097/1 for the 3.6-liter version and TA 097/S1 for the Carrera S with 3.8-liter displacement each consist of a sport air filter and newly programmed engine electronics.

After the installation, which can be done directly at TechArt Automobildesign or by any authorized Porsche dealer, maximum power output for each model increases by 15 hp / 11 kW.

Performance improves accordingly: Depending on vehicle weight and the type of tires acceleration time from 0 - 100 km/h improves by slightly under half a second. Top speed increases by some 5 km/h. Even more important for everyday use is the even more spontaneous throttle response and the further improved liveliness of the tuned engines.

The perfect complement to the power kits is TechArt exhaust tuning, of which various versions are available. The product lineup includes oval-shaped dual tailpipes for the production exhaust system, a throttle-controlled sport exhaust system and a complete high-performance exhaust system with high-performance manifolds, sport catalysts and rear muffler.

Sporty elegance characterizes the design of the TechArt aerodynamic-enhancement kit: The production front apron receives more visual emphasis from the TechArt front spoiler. But that’s not all: The spoiler reduces aerodynamic lift, thus further improving directional stability at high speeds.

The alternatively available TechArt Type II front apron with integrated splitter produces downforce on the front axle and supplies lots of fresh air to the coolers and front brakes via larger, distinctively styled air intakes.

The TechArt side sills give the sportscar a longer, sleeker look. The understated TechArt rear spoiler optimizes the effect of the retractable production rear spoiler and lends the cabriolet an even more exciting appearance.

TechArt also developed a rear diffuser for the 997 models, which extends the rear apron downward and provides a dramatic backdrop for the two oval-shaped twin tailpipes of the TechArt sport exhaust system.

TechArt also offers an extensive wheel and suspension program: Owners of the new Porsche 911 Carrera or Carrera S can refine their cars with striking, light-weight TechArt Formula five-spoke wheels with 18-, 19- or 20-inch diameters.

The most exclusive version for the 911 Carrera 4 or 4S features one-piece TechArt Formula light-alloy wheels in size 8.5Jx20 in front and in size 12Jx20 on the rear axle. TechArt recommends ContiSportContact 2 tires in sizes 235/30 ZR 20 and 305/25 ZR 20 for mounting on these wheels.

Custom-calibrated to the TechArt tire/wheel combinations are the TechArt suspension solutions. The range of modifications starts with TechArt sport springs for a ride-height lowering of some 25 millimeters. It culminates in the TechArt Vario sport suspension that was developed in cooperation with Bilstein. Contrary to conventional coil-over suspensions this innovative solution not only offers the ability to lower the ride-height on front and rear axle individually by up to some 35 millimeters; the TechArt Vario sport suspension also features sport shocks with adjustable bound and rebound. This allows the suspension set-up to be adjusted to individual driver’s preferences and to the predominant use of the car – on public roads or on the racetrack.

TechArt Automobildesign also offers a height-adjustable coil-over sport suspension for the 997 models with PASM.

For the 997 model series TechArt also offers sport sway bars, a dome cross-brace, and a high-performance brake system with eight-piston aluminum fixed calipers and 365- or 380-millimeter brake discs.

As a world-renowned specialist for exclusive interior creations TechArt Automobildesign also offers individual interiors for the latest 911 Carrera 4 and 4S in all colors and designs.

The program comprises exclusive TechArt Colorline fully leather interiors as well as sporty accessories: TechArt offers ergonomically shaped airbag sport steering wheels, foot pedals, foot rest and shift knob all made from aluminum as well as stainless-steel sill plates with TechArt logo.

Unmistakeable design characterises the latest TECHART program for the 911 Porsche models from mod. 09, presented as a world premiere at the Geneva Auto-Salon 2009. Based on the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet 2009 model, the design highlights the aesthetics, sportiness and dynamics of the vehicle.

The optimum: TECHART Aerokit I

The elegant exterior design comprises components which create a sense of fully formed sportiness and balanced aerodynamic driving.

The elegant front spoiler blends in seamlessly with the form of the bumper and exudes pure sportiness. Power optimising sill panels emphasise the elongated side lines and add a touch of the dynamic to the flanks of the vehicle. The deep sitting rear diffuser as well as the wing profile of the rear spoiler define this sovereign look.

Delicate decorative detailing, headlight and mirror trims, a roof spoiler in carbon or PU-RIM material and air outlet grills integrated into the front apron complete this spirited appearance.

Individual down to the very last detail: the interior

A wide range of different leather furnishings, matching colour 3-spoke airbag sports wheel, aluminium pedals and decorative borders are just some of the furnishing options available. There are virtually no limits to individual design, as far as the TECHART manufacturers are concerned. The silver-coloured accenting appears on the dashboard, decorative door trims, infotainment system panel, central console, seat back covers and clothes hooks.

With unmistakable styling, TECHART is presenting its tuning suite for the latest Porsche 911 Carrera 4S at the IAA International Motor Show. This customized Porsche combines perfect styling, sportiness and dynamism and embodies once again the basic principle of all TECHART products: OEM quality – Made in Germany. TECHART underpins this quality with its striking exterior design, enhanced aerodynamics and performance characteristics in addition to a stylish and exclusive interior.

Aerodynamics and design

The TÜV-certified Aerokit I is the successful outcome of intensive development work in the wind tunnel. At the same time, the PUR-RIM components fitted increase the downforce on the axles and also improve the driving stability. The front spoiler I underscores the dynamism of the 911 Carrera 4S and, by optimizing the air flow, helps to ensure effective cooling of the braking system. At the same time, side skirts emphasize the powerful contours. Depending on requirements, a roof spoiler and three versions of rear wings permit precision aerodynamic tuning on the rear axle. By way of example, back pressure air vents have been integrated into the variable rear wing IV along with an additionally adjustable spoiler lip (gurney flap). The dynamic character is also emphasized by decorative trims for the exterior mirrors – made from carbon fiber painted in the requested color, decorative headlamp surrounds, a low swung rear diffuser plus the new sports exhaust systems.

New TECHART flap-controlled exhaust system

For the Porsche, TECHART has developed two versions of a new exhaust system. The “Sport” version, for instance, features two rear mufflers with an exhaust flap, an exhaust flap control unit in addition to double-oval tailpipes in a polished or black chromium finish. The “Racing” version is also equipped with two stainless steel high-performance headers and a sports catalyst. Drivers can choose between either a production-vehicle-like sporty sound or a powerful racing car sound. The “Racing” version also helps to boost the performance significantly by 35 bhp in the upper speed range.

TECHART suspension

Firm sporty handling is ensured by TECHART’s VARIO coilover suspension in addition to a set of TECHART sports springs. The VARIO PLUS version is available for vehicles with PASM. Both systems feature coilover shock absorbers with an adjustable rebound and pressure stage plus special main and additional springs. TECHART Formula and Formula II alloy wheels, available as a five-spoke wheel in either a single-piece or composite design, underscore this sportiness. For the new 911 models, a light alloy forged wheel - the TECHART Formula III forged - is available in a twin-spoke design in a 19 and 20 inch format. By way of an option, the TECHART nose lift system is also available for negotiating curbsides and other ramps. At the touch of a button, it is possible to raise the automobile by up to 60 mm – even when driving at up to 60 km/h.

Individual in every detail - the interior

A plethora of different leather interiors, color-coordinated three-spoke airbag sports steering wheels, aluminum pedals and trim strips are just a few of the interior options available. Thanks to the TECHART craftsmanship, virtually no bounds are set when it comes to realizing a customized design. The silver-colored accentuating details are applied, for instance, to the dashboard and decorative door panels, to the trim around the infotainment system, in the center console, seat backrests and coat hooks.
