Early Look: 2008 Suzuki Equator
Yesterday, a low-res illustration of the Suzuki Equator leaked online, after being scanned from a magazine. This afternoon, Suzuki officially released the image ahead of the truck's Chicago Auto Show debut next week. Based on the Nissan Frontier, the mid-size pickup truck will be built at Nissan's Smyrna, Tennessee plant.
While other details remain unknown, the extra model should help Suzuki with its North American expansion. Last year, Suzuki reached its goal of topping 100,000 sales in the U.S.
Engine choices still remain a mystery, but the Equator could be motivated by the same engine range found in the Frontier. However, it is believed that the Equator will be priced below the Frontier.

It's not a bad looking truck, but yeah, not sure where its strengths and advantages are...other than the fact that it most likely will cost much less than the Nissan Frontier.

^ it looks like it will definitely be cheaper than the Frontier. It'll be an awesome deal for someone who wants a small pickup for the occasional trek to Home Depot. Or like me, who bought a new mattress set and had to pay for a damn U-Haul rental.
