Not so bad IMO. Just swap out the grill as many do with the current version STI. Also, I'm sure the STI version will look better than the Impreza.

The sedan looks much better than the hatch, but it's lost some aggressiveness. Still, I'd much rather see a STi modeled after the sedan than the hatch.

The guys at Mitsubishi, Mazda, and VW must be thrilled. I see their sales going up when this comes out. And the sedan looks like a Saturn Ion to me.

and they pull this stunt. :<The Japanese sometimes react too fast to complaints on styling as opposed to the Germans. Look at BMW everyone in the world "hated" the Bangle influence, and although they did tone it down somewhat they stayed with it and now they are getting copied left and right.

i despised that front when it first came out, but a subtle tweak made it look much better. i was like "damn, it can actually look great!"
if they just worked on it more then maybe they could've come up with a strikingly beautiful and unmistakable brand identity, but now they are lost in the crowd.
