Special-edition BMW Alpina offered at almost double the $137,595 suggested price
By MATT DAVIS
The Z8-based Alpina BMW Roadster V8 that marks the final year of Z8 production will start at $137,595, as we reported in January, but the actual selling price is likely to far exceed that sticker.
An Alpina spokesperson said, for instance, that one potential customer contacted BMW and said an unnamed BMW dealer in Orange County, California, was offering the Alpina for a nonnegotiable price of $270,000. Of the final run of 450 Alpina-touched Z8s, 350 have already been sold.

The owner of southwest drove from phoenix to la and bought one at double the sticker in cash. My friends mother is fleet manager of that particular dealership.
