The Acura "Concept TL" combines POWER, SPEED AND AGILITY to deliver world-class performance.

Pssst! Wanna see a new concept vehicle?
It's the new Acura "Concept TL", which debuted at the 2003 New York International Auto Show recently.
Featuring a sleek, performance-oriented exterior and aggressive, muscular styling, the Concept TL is, according to American Honda Executive Vice-President of Auto Operations, Tom Elliott, "a pure expression of Acura, and designed to evoke the image of the ultimate athlete, a combination of power, speed and agility that delivers world-class performance."
Several inches shorter than the current production model, the Concept TL has an agressive and sporty stance. It carries 4-piston Brembo brakes, 19-inch alloy wheels and high performance tires. The muscular body slopes forward in a pronounced wedge shape and on each side, a deep character line runs from a side marker on the front quarter panel to another in the rear.
In the cockpit, it features flush mounted windshield glass, which improves aerodynamics while adding to the car's sophisticated ambience. Compact side-view cameras also enhance its aerodynamics while providing superior visibility. And here's a neat trick: instead of windshield wipers, the Concept TL is designed to use a series of jet nozzles located in the cowl area to shoot high-pressure air onto the windshield and keep it free from rain or snow. A long, sleek hood accented with pronounced character lines, culminates in an aggressive front-end boasting large air intakes and an angular headlight assembly containing Xenon High Intensity Discharge headlights. Brushed aluminum accents round out the front end of the car.
At the back, which is what most other drivers will see, a short trunk lid with a pronounced lip and a V-shaped break below the trunk expresses the car's aggressive nature, with integrated rear bumper exhaust tips further adding to the car's muscular appearance. "We wanted to make sure that this concept looks just as fast and aggressive from the rear as it does in front," adds Jon Ikeda, Chief Designer for the Concept TL.
In addition to the dramatic new styling, it features new technology including the world's first automotive application of DVD Audio 5.1, Bluetooth wireless connectivity, and XM Satellite Radio.
In other words, the new Concept TL is more than just another pretty face. But you didn't hear it from us.
